Had a great time here! Popped in for a fried chicken sandwich and it did not disappoint!! I wasn’t in the mood for photos of myself, but I enjoyed watching this big screen!! Stopped in for a quick bite. Turned out to be an amazing experience! Was really impressed with the service and atmosphere! I was greeted on the way in and sat down quickly. Food was hot fresh and made to order! Was very impressed with the banter back and forth from the people behind the counter as well as at our table when we got our food! Friendly impressive staff and environment! Definitely will be back again!

We stopped for a quick lunch, had the Detroit coney chili cheese dog and cocktails. Food came out quickly and was good. The restaurant was clean and has TV’s to watch sports. They do have a vegan/vegetarian menu. We sat in the bar area, the restaurant area has high tables and orange metal bar stools.

We hit up the Detroit Coney Grill for lunch during the Tempe Art Festival. We sat at the bar to grab a beer and some sliders. The Husband the Mac Style Sliders and I went with the Classic Cheeseburger Sliders along with a pretzel bites. The sliders were bigger than we had thought they would be, so 3 was 1 too many. The Pretzel bites were okay, a little oily and some were over cooked, but still edible. Service was a little slow, but there was only 1 bartender for a lot of people. So it was understandable. There are things on the menu that sound interesting and next time we are in the area we would consider going back.

I want to like this place, but it’s hard. The food is great, albeit pricey (I mean come on $5 for a side of fries?) and it’s all a la carte. Service is slow, and my order is wrong more often than not. Hold on to your receipt so you have something to show the staff when your order is inevitably missing something. Although I want to give them credit for simply having bottles of Faygo.
