What a great “family” place. Mom and Dad in the kitchen, son’s waiting tables. Smiling and happy staff all around. Name is homage to all the “older” family which provided recipes, handed down, which are now served to hungry guests. Such a warm atmosphere. Great Jazz on a Sunday afternoon. Worth the drive from Helotes for something new, different, friendly and just a great experience for a hot Sunday afternoon. Cool Air, Smooth Jazz, and excellent food and service.

Great family restaurant. The owners are fantastic. I love the atmosphere, everyone is treated like family. Not only can Ms Sutton cook in the kitchen, she cooks on the microphone also. This has become my new favorite place.

Absolutely delicious food and great service. I had the Tilapia and Shrimp combo, blackened, and my husband had the fried catfish and shrimp combo. We both got the red beans and rice. Amazing flavor and cooked just right. And the iced tea was delicious! I had 3 glasses! Prices were very reasonable too. Our new go to for Cajun food!

I went there with a group of my co-workers. It was the first time any of us have eaten here. It appeared to me that everyone in our group really enjoyed lunch here! This restaurant specializes in Louisiana style food. I ordered the fried catfish poor boy sandwich with french fries. It was very good! One side note, on Friday nights and on Sunday afternoons they have live jazz music. And on Sunday morning they do a prayer group and serve breakfast. Wow! Pretty cool if you ask me. I’ll definitely go back.

We started our first couples fellowship meal here at this location! My pastor booked the space and she said it was easy! We had Sam (I hope that is his name) as our waiters; the owners younger son! He handled this large party with grace!!! Now for the FOOD!! I had stuffed shrimp, dirty rice and potatoe salad! Everything was delicious‼️We will definitely be back for jazz night and a mimosa next month lol ‼️❤️❤️

I am glad I tried this place out super good homestyle southern food! I’m confused on why theres 1 star reviews at all, I ate here twice so far & the food was seasoned perfect the stuff shrimp didn’t have “thick batter” how another review said and my beignets were great, soft, & fluffy. I got to go so they waited until I arrived to pickup my order to make them fresh. The owner (i think thats him) is very kind & welcoming & every time I have gotten to go helped me carry my stuff to my car. Overall I highly recommend if you’re nervous to try dont be you wont be disappointed! I only put 4 stars for atmosphere because it was a bit smokey in the to go area but I haven’t ate in the sittings area so i cant speak on that

Ordered fried catfish & shrimp with cajun potato salad and red beans and rice. Everything was very delicious with lots of flavor. The staff was very nice and food was cooked fresh as you ordered. I will definitely go back. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for Louisiana
