This place is in a bad neighborhood, but they have the best food ever. I was told to buy this food for other people, and they simply love it. They say it is the best fish and chicken they ever had. I think I’ve been to this place about 5 times in the past 3-4 months. That’s a lot because I don’t live nearby. I usually order the catfish filets with fries and I get all the sauces that comes with it.

I decided for my mother’s birthday I would get her some fried fish. We live in Tracy and there’s not really that many fried fish places that I know that my mother will like, but I know for a fact my mother loves JJ’s. So before I went home from San Francisco I made sure to stop by. This JJ’s is also next to a hair store which was perfect because I needed some accessories for a later outfit. I don’t feel like I waited too long for the food to be made. And though I didn’t get their names, the three people who were inside of the restaurant working were absolutely the kindest people ever. They’re watching some kind of karate movie and it was absolutely the best kind of way to end my day.

Absolutely the best food! First time I tried gumbo and thought I wouldn’t like gumbo and it was so good. Their hush puppies were amazing the best I have ever had the jumbo shrimp and scallops were amazing as well the lemonade was really good too. This food was absolutely amazing I recommend it everyone and the service there is good and the the owner is a really nice personable guy. We have been there now 2 weeks in a row very reasonably priced as well

Really enjoy the food, and the service the person who waited on me was very polite. They first forgot to place my chicken gizzards on my order, but was quick to get them ready. They even gave me a free banana pudding for having me to wait. Everything was fresh and hot as well as delicious. I forgot my tea, but was told to come back and let them know that Simon said it was ok. This place may not be in the best area but the food is one of the best that I have tasted out of the JJ’s that I have been to. Also. They have a wide variety of sides and fish .

DISGUSTED came in recently ordered shrimp ordered chicken macaroni and pasta salad I swear the chicken was dark dry and tasted like old burnt oil so did the shrimp macaroni and cheese terrible macaroni salad terrible I can’t believe how far down the food has fallen from the last time I came in this year two words DO BETTER it wasn’t a busy day there weren’t people in front of me I was the only person there there should be no reason for the food to not be cooked properly and you know how it tastes and look when you use old oil
