What a treat! Stumbled on this place on our way back home from Fremont and a 25 mile bike ride. Exactly what we’d been craving! Fresh ingredients, tasty specialty rolls, and delightful cucumber served elegantly in a martini glass. It was a crispy evening and only patio dining was available but service was great and food was marvelous. Looking forward to our next ride in Fremont and sushi from Kanpai!

Service was okay… however the food wasn’t what I expected at all.. I ordered a lion king roll and it came out on a piece of foil that looked like it had been in a microwave. The sushi was hot, cooked and the rice was burnt. Is sushi supposed to be microwaved? Is sushi supposed to be hot? I’m not sure… the rice and contents of the roll were not fresh. It was also covered in residual oil..

Nice addition to Hacienda Crossings,…really easy to order online and friendly staff! I strongly recommend the Girlyman Roll, its a chef creation so theres always something new to try.!

Wanted to try this place….The staff is very unfriendly……Sushi roll was awful! I had the Tempura Shrimp roll….the avocado was brown and it was probably one of the most aesthetically disgusting looking roll ever! Do not recommend this place. I’ll go back to Amakara.

My first order pretty good, so I ordered again. Unfortunately today’s order had some fish that wasn’t fresh in the spicy tuna roll. I had one before realizing it, so I didn’t have the rest, but I’m already feeling nauseous from the one. There was also too much mayo in the crab/mayo mix. The miso soup was not the best, I can’t put my finger on it but maybe it had a little bit of chicken flavor? Little to no salt on the edamame. I can’t say I’ll be back.
