Amazing on all levels. 10/10! The drinks, food, atmosphere, and service were all impeccable. My fiancé took me here 6 years ago for a date and we returned since we’re in the area for another round of goodness. We ordered 2 lbs of sirloin and a couple side items and had 2 cocktails a piece. Well, as soon as that beautiful slab of meat came out, the power went out due to someone hitting a pole and the transformer blowing! Yikes! We hope everyone was ok! But it was quite a fun experience for us, to be honest. Instead of rushing us out, they encouraged us to stay and finish our drinks and meal, which was all on the house due to the unfortunate circumstances. Again, we kind of enjoyed the circumstances ourselves it made for a thrilling date-night adventure!!! We are still eating on our sirloin leftovers today and will most definitely be back soon! With or without power, Doe’s is where it’s at!!!!

The food was really good. Ordered tamales and chili for starters. Mmmm. Chili was spicy. But addicting. Hubby and cuz had Mahi Mahi, and I had the filet. Everything was cooked perfectly. We brought home a slice of cheesecake. It is the bomb.

I got the 2.5 lb Porterhouse! The steak was phenomenal, au gratin potatoes were as well and the fries, well who is going to eat the soggy fries when you have 40 ounces of steak in front of you! The price – $57 is very affordable for a cut that large.

Doe’s Eat Place of Monroe is one of our favorites. From the host that greets you when you arrive to the Bartender and wait staff, this group of professionals are great a what they do and make you feel welcome. Who would have thought that a Steak House would have the best tamales you’ve ever eaten, oh and the tamales are not complete with out the chili too. Our go to meal is usually 3 Tamales w/chili as an appetizer and the Ribeye for 2. I’m a fan of their garden salad but my wife prefers their Caesar salad. If you’ve never been, you really should.

Good food reasonably priced. We had the artichoke dip that was great. Salad was fair. 20oz ribeye was good for the money. Mahi mahi was ok. Great service. Nice atmosphere. I wouldn’t get the fish again but good place for a steak.

Well we waited on an uncomfortable bench for 17 minutes after our reservation, so I’m really not sure why you’d even need one since you have to wait anyway. I have to say that the food is excellent and cooked exactly how you order it, which is a nice surprise after trying every other steakhouse in the area. After finally getting a table we actually started being treated like we exist and our server was sweet and attentive as long as we were ordering stuff. The worst part of going out to eat is the long wait for getting the ticket and the return of your card, and this place was way worse than par for the course. We got the ticket in reasonable time which I was hoping was a good sign. I was so wrong. We waited 14 minutes and I just had to check, we never saw our server again. We finally asked to pay at the bar, and asked if our server had gone home for shift change or something, but he said that she just got busy. He did say he probably should have picked up the table but he just didn’t and sorry. Well of course that made it all better, but still I doubt I’ll recommend Doe’s restaurant to anyone I’d like to have an enjoyable evening. You get treated with much more respect at most other steakhouses in the area, just nicely clarify how you’d like your steak to look and it’s a much better experience than we had here.
