I heard a lot of great things about the Szechuan Garden and today m6 family and I had the opportunity to try it. We were immediately greeted at the door and seated. I took notice to the atmosphere as the overall look is quite nice, calming, and there are also many unique pieces of artwork hanging on each wall. For our meals, I ordered the Garlic Eggplant and chicken, Hot and Sour soup, and an egg roll. The second meal was the orange chicken, Hot and Sour soup with an egg roll. Everything arrived at the table quickly and was served hot. Everything was fantastic and full of great flavor. The staff is very friendly and fast. I highly recommend coming here for a great lunch, excellent service, and at a great price.

This restaurant has always been one of my favorites for years. It’s my favorite Chinese restaurant to sit down and eat at. The low lighting really makes it a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend the egg rolls and crab rangoons. The crab rangoons are the sweetest ones in the area and the sweat and sour sauce gives it an added touch. Other than that, I typically get the chicken and broccoli with white rice. The staff is always friendly and quick to ring you up for take out. Even though it is slightly over priced, it’s still one of my favorite.

So we moved really close and had heard about this place. Order many times weekly, got to know the staff, eat in and pick up weekly. Same order everytime, they don’t even ask anymore they just know. Which was nice. Today I ordered dinner, same order. Small chicken rice and broccoli,no carrots and white rice. I get home, put the rice in the bowl for my starving 4 year old and see this(see photo below). I call, they say sorry wrll prioritize be right there please give food back. No problem so we are still sitting and waiting, and I get a call,a man screaming saying he “KNOWS everything is right” I explained it wasn’t and I spoke to a supervisor and he said to wait outside he’d have it delivered just give food back and he acreams saying chicken there 35 minutes and hung up phone. We still haven’t received our food and I hated to call since we always go there but the food had been getting not as good, but this isn’t chicken rice and broccoli with extra sauce. This is broccoli , period. We still sit waiting and it upsets me that we’ve been so loyal and nice and kind that he treated my family that way. So check your food and of its wrong don’t expect it fixed, it’s horrific they can’t replace a 9.81 meal for a toddler and want it back like they’re going to reuse it..just my review and my thoughts and after a year of loyalty I’ll look elsewhere for my half decent food.

Don’t pass this place up. It is one of the best Chinese restaurants around in Pittsburgh. The food is always fresh and hot. The quality of the food is top notch. I had the amazing chicken which is white meat and hand breaded was the best I ever had! Plenty of seating for a big family. Also lots of parking spots. Don’t skip this place.

My wife and i have enjoy this place for 2 decades. However, our latest order was disappointing. The size was smaller, no soup offered, the meal was supposed to be spicy (no hot peppers), and there was less meat. Little slivers of something. Plus, the price jumped. Too many other places to dine

Orange Beef was so tough and hard, stringy. Inedible! The sauce was very good, presentation very pretty. The Capital Chicken I was told by my daughter was very good.

My second visit to this restaurant. We ordered fried dumplings and crab rangoon as appetizers. Both came out quickly and fresh. The dumplings were larger than most and fully stuffed. The entrees arrived family style, allowing us to easily share the large Sesame chicken and General Tso platters. Our meals were flavorful, fresh and well presented. Prices here are above other similar restaurants. The reason I held back on a 5 star rating has nothing to do with the food quality rather service. During this visit I was in a wheelchair. Accessibility is an issue. It was very difficult to get through the doors. My husband held the outer door for me to get through, but there is a very small vestibule with a second door requiring an immediate 90 degree turn while pulling the door toward myself. The space was so small my husband could not get to the second door to help me. This was very challenging to accomplish while maneuvering my chair and required several attempts to make happen. Two male employees were at the front counter as I struggled to get through the door. They just stood and stared. No assistance was offered. If we visit again I will order take out.

I would definitely say as far as the greensburg area Szchuan Garden is the best Chinese restaurant in my opinion. Their dumplings are amazing. I love their hot and sour soup and wonton soup. I think their seaseme chicken is the best I have had.
