It’s a step back into the early 1900’s! A very cool place that is decorated with antiques and memorabilia. It’s almost like being on a movie set. The menu is simple American fare but it was very good! I had a bacon cheeseburger as it is my “go to” … And it was great! It was a half pound juicy monster with crispy bacon! The fries were crispy and seasoned perfectly. Crawfordville is a neat little town so the whole lunch trip was a lot of fun. I’ll definitely be back!

By far the best hamburger and fries I have ever eaten! It’s off the beaten path and it isn’t on any interstate road sign, but it is a hidden gem. When you see a whole bunch of cars parked in a small town near a restaurant, you know there is something special and it was definitely that. The short walk to Nick’s Place revealed an antique shop that was closed for the day, but displayed a step back in time. The building itself revealed superior architecture from days of old. Inside Nick’s Place is a fascinating array of antiques. The staff from start to finish were super friendly and attentive. This is a not an experience to be rushed. Take your time, enjoy the atmosphere and look forward to some delicious food. I’m glad we saw it on the map and I would highly recommend it. It’s not that far off of I-20.

The location is on the square. Once we entered, it was super cute and our server was very helpful with food suggestions. She was the right amount of attentive with drink refills, etc but not overwhelming us.

I have eaten here twice whilst working in Taliaferro County. This place is a diamond in the rough. I tried the country fried steak, potato salad, Mac n cheese, salad, sweet tea and Philly cheesesteak sandwich and all was delicious and fresh. Just sit down and go back in time at Nicks Place. Southern hospitality and true southern cuisine at its finest!

Burrito was good. Charged extra for a small cup of salsa. I got a side of rice and beans and the cup it came in was very small. Friendly service. If it wasn’t for how small the rice and beans were and the extra charge for salsa it would be a 5 star rating.

Poor customer service, came in for lunch b/c someone recommended it but sat down and after 30 minutes all the server had done was get my drink. Then someone else came in sat to the table next to mine and was able to get his drink and order within a few minutes of being there whilst I had been waiting 30 minutes. At that point I left a couple dollars for the drink and left.

What an amazing find in downtown Crawfordville. The small-town atmosphere is like taking a trip back in time to a kinder, gentler place. Add to that, the food is great, the people are charming and the prices are more than reasonable. What more can you ask for?

We ordered wings and a kids chicken tender plate. The wings aren’t jumbo size but they come as 12 instead of 10 so that makes up for it and they are extremely tender wings!!! The flavor is spot on. We ordered lemon pepper and hot. 10/10 !!! Can’t wait to be back in town to get more food !!

This is a rare find. A true gem. We experienced a staff who showed appreciation for our business and provided excellent food at reasonable prices. They served very tasty meals with generous portions in a clean unhurried atmosphere. It is just a short trip off I-20 between Augusta and Atlanta and is well worth your dropping in.
