Been going here for years. The posole and fish tacos continue to be outstanding. Chips fried in-house and hot and fresh.

The service was great. The staff was friendly and it definitely is a neighborhood favorite. However, the carnie was tough and over seasoned. It should have been soft without out all the salt. The shredded beef tacos had potatoes in them. Not horrible but not what I am used to. The salsa was one of the better I have tried on the island.

Easily the best Mexican food in the area! We moved to the island in August and have been searching all around for a good Mexican restaurant since we got here. We ordered enchiladas and their red sauce was delicious as well as their salsa and chips! Unlike most places, they actually had that slight spicy, but not too spicy, flavor that most restaurants around here have been lacking. Upon walking in, we were skeptical at first since the place was empty, but I guess they mainly get business through take out calls, which they got quite a number of. A few other families came in to sit down as well. Service was prompt and excellent and the waitress was very nice! The food comes to the table on beautiful plates and they even play Mexican music in the background. Would like to see this place get busier because it deserves it!

There back open. Ordered tacos and the macho nachos. Everything was perfect. Pretty decent portions and authentic flavors. It’s really hard to find good Mexican food in hawaii. This place is one of the top ones I’ve been to so far.

We got takeout, it was horrible. The beans were undercooked, the tamale was bad…like dried pork and almost crunchy bad. My husband had the California burrito, everything in it was dry. How are the reviews good? Did they loose a cook? Will never order from here again.

This food was very bland and had no flavor. Mexican food is all about the flavor so I don’t know what this was. I would not consider this Mexican food or even Tex Mex. I ordered multiple dishes so it wasn’t just the one dish that was bad. I read a few reviews before going and I’m not sure where other people have been eating to think this food is any good. Their cheese dip is literally melted mozzarella…that is not dip, that is cheese. No dip about it. Cashier seemed nice I will give them that but food wasn’t worth the price. Not even close.

The responsiveness by phone and very minimal wait time was the best part about coming here. However, my dish was below average. There was no guacamole that day and no cheese in my dish either. The lack of guacamole would have been nice to know before I had already paid for my meal. When being handed my to-go order is when I was told. I was offered extra salsa and sour cream due to the lack of guacamole but that really didnt make up for it. I like the rice that came as a side but that was the tastiest part of the dish. I was super stoked about finding a Mexican restaurant relatively close to where I live, instead of making the hike to North Shore. However, after getting my dish, was disappointed. This place is a little expensive, which I wouldn’t mind if the food exceeded, or even just met, my expectations.

Second time we’ve been there and will not be going back. Poor service- there were two employees and it seemed like it was one of the employee’s first day. She did not understand what we ordered or needed so needless to say our drink and food order was not exactly what we ordered. The wait time was ridiculous and during this time we did not receive any refills on drinks or chips. My husband and I both ordered meals with steak and the meat tasted disgusting. The meat was definitely reheated and had a day old taste. My husband took one bite and asked her to take it back as he gets very sick off of reheated meat. The owner (I believe) brought us our check and was very rude and refused to take off the charge for the burrito my husband gave back. She made a huge scene in the restaurant stating how packed it was and how everyone else was fine. Told us she was taking off the charge and to never come back. I am definitely taken back on how poorly we were treated off of something that could have been resolved so easily. For $12, to me, it wouldn’t be worth it to loose a customer. After mentioning this to our friends in the community, we found out most people visit this restaurant once and do not return. We haven’t came across anyone that actually enjoys the food. Definitely better Mexican food on the island.
