Since 1933 the Bernardi family has been serving Italian & American cuisine. Famous for Italian Tortellini and spaghetti people travel from all over the state for great food, and friendly service. Mike Bernardi’s son and daughter have joined the family business, Tony in 1988 and Stephanie in 1996, bringing it to the third generation. After working the family business, they had thought it was time to expand out their great service and quality foods. Bernardi’s opened in Washington, IL in 2001, Bernardi’s II in Pontiac, IL in 2005, and the latest location is Bernardi’s North, opened in 2008 at Lake of the Woods Plaza in Dunlap, IL. First time in. Everyone was super friendly. Natalie our server was one of the best servers we have had in a long time. Food was by far the best we have had eating out in forever. Price was definitely reasonable for amount and quality of food. Wish we woulda stopped in here sooner.

Been driving quite a distance to eat at Capponi’s for years. Best fried chicken. Wonderful cajun cream sauce with shrimp, sausage, and pasta. Best baked potatoes. Great steak. It is ALL good.

This place is great. Classic family old school Italian restaurant. Great staff, food, atmosphere and value. I love the old gambling wheel that was used in the the old Chicago era. The family style chicken dinner was excellent. Great for getting together with friends.

The food and staff were Excellent. Our server was a 10. We had a first time visitor was with us and she loved the sauce, lasagne and chicken. My broiled cod and baked potato were perfectly cooked. Our son even ordered a family style chicken and pasta meal to take back to Chicago. We really enjoyed our visit.
