The space was very inviting with the patio and the interior design. The staff was on top of everything and really nice. The menu is simple and delicious. My eating partner and I split the spicy tuna crispy rice and we each had a 5 roll set, knowing that that was more than enough for us, but ordered an additional hand roll because every dish was that good. KazuNori had our hearts for many years but Sogo is our new favorite.

Cute patio. they have yummy hand rolls but they don’t serve toro anymore. Hope there will be more fish options on their menu.

Extraordinary. Every roll is wonderful but the scallop and the albacore rolls deserve special mention. Far better than KazuNori, Sogo’s flavor profile is developed and dynamic.

Cute/quiet little spot that feels like a little secret. It’s run by what looks like only women which is double rad. The rolls were amazing-highly suggest the spicy tuna crispy rice. Will absolutely stop by again!

Hands down best Roll Bar in Los Angeles. Their fish is always fresh. They have the best yellowtail and Toro. I come here at least once a week! They have a good selection of wine and sake.

I enjoyed Sogo for lunch yesterday. I ordered the 4 roll special. The food quality is superb but what really makes this place interesting is the presentation and preparation of the food. They just opened and are only open for lunch. There is no take out option and their entire seating is a dozen bar stool seats at a counter. There are three stations behind the counter with two in use during my visit. Each roll is made fresh directly in front of you and served to you one at a time by your sushi chef. Each chef appears to be in charge of 3 to 5 guests and they make one roll per guest down the line then repeat until each order is done. Overall, this process is so unique and fun it really makes the experience memorable.

Kazu-who? The best hand roll bar in LA. The flavors are spot on and the vibes…immaculate.
