Big Bear is an independent pizzeria. We serve the best pizza, deli style sandwiches, wraps, and lunches (11-2, M-F). We also serve hand-dipped ice cream. Big Bear is located right across the street from the sailboat marina on Lake Pepin. Dine-in and take out is available and we deliver. We also have a beautiful courtyard (summer time) for your dining enjoyment.

This is a super cute, super local pizza place that also has unique ice creams and a ton of food options. When we came in the staff was kind enough to answer our questions as it was our first time, and were extremely personable. The ice creams we tried were the Superman, Maple Nut, and Blueberry Waffle Cone and they were all delightful! The pizza (both thin and regular crust) were some of the best pizzas we’ve ever had. Great green olives too! Don’t miss this place if you’re in Lake City! We will definitely be coming back!

I can’t comment on the pizza, because we didn’t have any, but the cheese bread and chicken bacon ranch wraps are spectacular. It was a unique atmosphere and the employees there were friendly and fun.

Went here with a friend recently and had some issues with my card. After I declined the need for any food, the guy at the register offered me some free wings that had been ordered but never got picked up. He was persistent in making sure I took them and mentioned he didn’t want me to go hungry. I eventually accepted the wings, and my friend and I sat down to eat. The wings were fantastic, and my friend mentioned that his pizza was awesome as well. The affordability was a pleasant surprise. The building itself is very unique; from what I understand, it used to be two separate houses that were conjoined by the previous restaurant. Which probably explains why the atmosphere felt so friendly and homey. Although I didn’t catch the worker’s name, I wish I could mention him to express my gratitude. He was fantastic and left a lasting impression on me.

This is our go to pizzeria when we are in Lake City, but they offer so much more. Breakfast, lunch buffet, deli, hard ice cream and a lot more. Stopped by for a pickup and while I waited took a look around. Open seating area with plenty of tables and chairs, side area for a private group, couple tables upstairs in the deli and a large outdoor patio area. We usually order a thin crust but opted for their normal crust and once again not disappointed. Cooked to your specification of crust, one can enjoy a more darker, crunchy or a lighter, chewier texture. Supreme came nicely loaded with Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Black Olives, Bell Peppers, Mushrooms, Canadian Bacon and plenty of cheese. A good pizza sauce melds all the ingredients together. Staff were friendly and took the time to give me a look see to make sure the crust was cooked to perfection.

Food is good been here a few times. Today I waited 30 minutes for a burger and fries. Fries were cold and that inexcusable for that long of a wait. I also order 20 mins ahead before arrival which is when she told me it would be ready spent my entire lunch waiting on food that should have been ready upon arrival. Very talkative and not doing there job. Which is to please ur customer making them wait that long is not pleasant.
