I am rarely in Sharon/Hermitage, but knew I would be passing through around lunchtime today. One of my co-workers suggested Giovanni’s, and their Steak Bomb and tater tots. I couldn’t believe someone was recommending tater tots, but yes indeed, they are the absolute best tater tots I have ever had. I’m not sure what they do to them there, but I couldn’t stop eating them. And the Steak Bomb… that has to be one of the top sandwiches I have had in my lifetime. Six hours later, and I’m still thinking about it. Now I need to come up with a reason to go back to Sharon for another sandwich soon!

Everything was so good! Our experience started with a warm greeting as soon soon as we walked in. The staff is so friendly and makes for a comfortable atmosphere. We got the steak and cheese sub, buffalo chicken salad and eggplant caprese that were all delicious and plated beautifully. We will definitely be coming back and making it one of our regular spots!

My food was a calzone and they deep fried it and it was cold inside when I received it. So they had to throw it in the oven. I don’t do deep fried and the menu doesn’t say it is either. I’d rather waited for them to cook it in the oven. And it was the most expensive one at $16.50

I use to love this place but tonight I went with a group of colleagues and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had. Our waiter was decent, came to the table maybe 5 times for the 2 hours we were there. We were not told a week ago when we made the reservation that we could not get spilt checks. So we got a bill that half of us couldn’t pay for because we only had our debit cards. Then for them to add an “automatic tip” of almost $30 without asking?! I’ve gone here before and have never had an automatic tip added to my bill. And even so if you do this for larger groups why not tell us in advanced that you do this? Then to get smart because we are trying to figure how to pay our bill and say that we don’t know how to add. Our waiter saw us struggling to figure out the bill for almost an hour and never once came to ask if there was a problem. I’m very disappointed because I loved this restaurant but after my experience tonight me and my 10 other coworkers will not be returning. You can also see in the photo that our original total was crossed out so that the waiter could put in his automatic tip.
