The service here was excellent. There was not much of a wait even though a large group went in just before us. The food was really good except my mother didn’t like her filet mignon which the manager substituted something else that she did like instead so all was well. I was quite pleased with my 16 oz ribeye steak it was cooked just the way I ordered the true medium. the loaded fries we got as an appetizer were absolutely delicious especially with the ranch dressing. And the sweet tea was delicious true Southern sweet tea.

My boyfriend and I took a trip to the mountains and on the last day, as we traveled towards home, Fatz came into our path. Neither of us had ever heard of this establishment before so we decided to stop and “check it out”. Long story short we both fell in love with the kindness of the hosts and the deliciousness of our entire meal!!! Fatz is where it’s at! Praying we get one in our town or somewhere within a 30 mile driving distance. It is absolutely worth visiting!!!

This place is horrible. We stopped off on our way up to the mountains for a quick meal. Waited so long for one order of wings. Server asked if we wanted fries while we waited. Said yes. They never came. Waited so long for the check I finally went out side and waited in the car while my partner waited for the check. As a side note. The wings when they finally came were dry and overcooked. Stay clear!

Fatz was clean and I was seated quickly. The Blue Ridge Chicken was warm and flavorful but the mashed potatoes and the green beans were cold. I had to ask for a drink refill although my friend’s drink was refilled twice. We then waited 20 minutes for the server to return after she left the check. Finally another server took the check. Perhaps they were short staffed but not food should never leave a kitchen cold.

I ordered mac n cheese and a salad- perfect. My daughter ordered a steak and asked for it well done and we had to send it back. The food omwas great once cooked completely. The service was great until our waiter got busy. The manager even came over to make sure everything was going okay. Clean bathrooms and eating areas.

Drove down with family from Spruce Pine today, shocked at out much this place has went down hill. This used to be my favorite place to eat. We got there and the restaurant was maybe half full, yet we still had a 30 minute wait to be seated. As I went to use the restroom I noticed that there were quite a few tables empty. I guess the reason for the wait was they were shorthanded, still, seems like a management problem. Fatz always used to be so clean and this time I noticed it was just not up to par. As we were waiting I noticed a huge cobweb in one corner. We waited quite a while for our food too and it seems that the portions have changed quite a bit. Plates looked like the fries had been picked over, that’s how few there were. While we were eating, we were bothered by a fly that would not go away. The only bright spot is the staff were friendly.
