Food was okay (at best), service was a little better but the limited, non-standard, hours are frustrating. I guess when you are the only, or one out of two places open in town, you can work whatever hours you wish.

I’m visiting from Nebraska. Green chili burger with onion rings was fantastic. Souvenirs at the store and bar were plentiful. Staff was welcoming. Thanks Sherri at the bar. ANYTHING YOU WANT… don’t be afraid to ask. She’ll answer your dumist questions and steer you in the right direction. Stop by. A beer, food. Just stop by. You’ll be sorry you missed it

After a great day of fishing the San Jaun I walked out of the Sportsman one night and looked up in the beautiful New Mexico sky to see the Hale Bopp Comet. Ive been coming back to the Sportsman ever since. If you get in the area you owe it to yourself to drop in. You wont regret it.

Since the new owner has taken over this place is AMAZING, foods great, service awesome, and beer is nice and cold! I suggest everyone try this place while at Navajo Damn Lake! Perfect place for a great meal after a long day on the lake or river!
