The enchiladas lacked flavor but the hot sauce and salsa made it a little bit better. Tacos were delicious. Staff was nice, friendly and inviting. Clean, welcoming atmosphere. I would return and recommend.

I drove by this place once and didn’t think much of it or to stop. Shout out to Russell (reviewer below) who motivated me to stop by. Glad I did! And I had the whole place to myself around 6pm. Hoping to get this underrated place some visibility. I’ve lived within 5 minutes for 2 years and have never heard of it. Shame. Far superior than District Taco (which I’ve had twice).

I’ve been going to Tippys for over 30 years now. Always great customer service but with today’s order “The California Burrito Dinner” i noticed they cut back with the ground beef in the burrito..

Cozy little place with great value. Tacos and chips are good quality, but great for the price. One of the few places I can still eat without having $30 dissappear by the time I leave. Nice people and staff. Also yummy, just wish extra cheese on a taco wasn’t so ridiculously expensive.

Tried this place due to the outstanding reviews. The food was perfectly “meh”. Chicken tasted like frozen pre-made chicken that I could have made at home. The woman at the front was super friendly and the food came out quickly, I just wasn’t impressed with the flavor.

My wife and I went to try this taco house for the first time. It was a Sunday after church and we were wanting to find something close. We looked this place up and went. The food is basic. Buy tortilla chips and taco chili at the super market and it will taste better and save you the trouble of being over charged and cheated. The order came out to 14 and change but they charged us a cc fee to use a visa and on top of that because the service was terrible we didnt bother leaving tip because it was self serve basically but they self tipped up to $20 from $16. DO NOT BOTHER TRYING THIS PLACE. HARRIS TEETER CHIPS AND TACO SAUCE IS WAYYYYYY BETTER. Terribad!

I am primarily here for Tippy’s hot sauce. Tippy’s red hot sauce, in my taste opinion, is balanced. I detect just a hint of vinegar and the heat hits at finish at back of the palate. It isn’t habanero hot but at point you feel. The taco’s are pretty good, made using minced beef. Diced tomatoes are totally tasteless as majority of tomatoes are these days. When hydroponic tomato growing started in the mid 1970’s it was the beginning of end for them. RIP tomato flavor. Corn chips are okay, a little thick for my liking but hey, they are hot sauce delivery system. Tippy’s fountain birch beer is my beverage choice. As good as the hot sauce is the value. Not much to say about ambiance; orange booth seats, orange wall and painted cinder block wall along with worn out, faded, indoor-outdoor carpet. I am not angling for capital investment update decorating. Let’s not rock the menu price point.

Tippy’s Taco has been here a really long time. I’ve been coming here occasionally for not sure 10-20 years

It’s Tippy’s, a legendary hole in the wall with that got trapped in the 80s. For those that know, this is EXACTLY what we love about Tippy’s. However, like all legends, things sometimes fade with time.

Definitely needs to be more chicken in the Grilled Fajitas Chicken Burrito. The meat tacos I had were good. I’m Glade you offer Birch Beer soda as beverage. Very tasty..
