Honestly good tasting Longaniza in Tampa. Every other Dominican restaurant is either “out of” or “don’t make it”. The empanadas are so delicious and authentic. The mofongo balls are fresh and tasteful, and the tostones are fresh and crisp. El Barrio is the spot to go to in Tampa Bay !

My husband and I just happened to find this place while working in the area. I want to say it’s the best place I’ve tried and we have been to a lot of other places and tried dominican food that were too much hype and no delivery. El Barrio 809 however was on point. We walked into an extremely clean restaurant, had amazing service and the food was excellent. I live an hour and a half away and will be returning. I was truly impressed by the quantity and quality of the food. You must try this Dominican gem of a restaurant.

The only reason that I cannot give them 5 stars is because I ordered through uber eats and when my order arrive, the Yani-Taco is no longer crunchy or hot 🙁 But their salchi papa is chef kiss !! That is a must try
