Staff was great! Everyone is very friendly and the place was immaculate. Food is THE BEST New Mexican food around. Rellenos were amazing, the guacamole was delicious and the salsa had a great kick to it. The red and green chili are exactly what is made in New Mexico. The blue corn tortillas in the enchiladas are so delicious. The carne adovada was heavenly, almost like my Grandma used to make! Was so great to have authentic posole..and their sopapillas were divine. I Highly recommend this place. I live 2 hours away, but Will be going back every chance I get. LOVE IT!!!

Probably the best Mexican food option in downtown. Shotgun style restaurant so it fills up quickly, we ate at the bar, which was pretty clean and tidy. The bartender and staff were very friendly. Really enjoyed the chips and salsa, but will note the salsa is quite spicy, so it may not be for everyone but in my opinion it was very good. We got the layered enchilada and taco plate, both were excellent and very filling. You get the option of adding an egg on top of the enchilada which I thought was pretty unique, haven’t seen that anywhere else. Our drinks were pretty solid as well, we got the Cowboy and the old fashioned. I would say this is more of a date night/pre-event Mexican restaurant, it is a bit on the pricier side but really did enjoy the meal and will be coming back.

Friday night with a couple friends, we stopped into La Tertulia w/o reservation and managed to find space at the bar. The place was busy, with most tables filled.

Excellent New Mexican cuisine! We lived in New Mexico for over a year and missed the food so much. La Tertulia is now our go to restaurant for date night. I truly don’t understand some of the one star reviews complaining about food quality, drink quality, prices, etc., their food is authentic New Mexican and it is delicious, the margaritas are some of the best in the area and made with fresh lime juice and fresh ingredients, the prices are what you should expect to pay for quality good. Hands down one of our favorite restaurants. Keep up the good work!

The food and service are top notch. Parking can be tricky, but that’s just Downtown Tulsa in general.

The food nor drinks were good. Don’t waste your money . My husband and I of 33 years rarely complain but both of us agreed that the food was so salty we could not eat it. The salsa had a Smokey hot flavor that neither of us could eat . We love salsa and spice! But this was not good . My husband had the burrito , I had the tamales . Neither were eatable . I had the blood orange margarita it was so -so. My husband ordered the classic margarita . He sent the first one back . The second one was worse ! I tasted both and agree . The guacamole was good . We seldom complain but didn’t want to pay $88.00 for food that was awful . Taco Bell would have been a better choice. However , the manager came out and was polite and took 50% off of our meal . We appreciated that but will not be returning .

As far as I’ve been told the Mexican cuisine in downtown Tulsa isn’t exactly, ya know, very good. But I’ve been in quite the mood for some Mexican & I was told that this spot – which technically serves up Sante Fe, New Mexico inspired dishes – was the spot to try. I looked at their social media and instantly loved how they plate their food. Some reviews have criticized it, but I friggin’ love it. It looks like pure art to me. Thankfully, the food was quite good, too. First off, and this is important: they give you chips and dip, and ask if you want more when you’re done. The chips were on point and the salsa had a nice kick to it. The spicy Margarita was on point and delivered on its name. The shrimp & octopus ceviche had a great kick to it and was a fantastic starter along with the elote. Everything listed so far had a nice spice and kick to it (can ya tell?). And I appreciate that. The combo plate that comes with 1 enchilada, 1 taco, and 1 tamale, rice and beans is absolutely delicious. Again, I’ll stress out how much I love the plating. Sloppy & plentiful. Yes and please. The burrito was fantastic and was another beautifully, cheesy plated dish. I’m absolutely heading back over here for a future visit. There is much more I need to try out.

Update: Came back a year later, and I was pretty disappointed.. it was freezing in the restaurant, the chips were pretty crusty, and the service wasn’t good.

A New Mexican myself, we were both excited and wary to try this place out. Two years later, it’s a special spot. The salsa isn’t great, but all of the meats are divine. Split a dish instead of ordering separate because all of the dishes come with a lot of food and is too much for one to finish! We like to split a combination plate. Service has always been great and the manager was kind to reserve us a big group space larger than they normally accept, for graduation a year ago. We take NM family here any time they’re in town.
