5/19/23 Enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Sakura Japanese Steakhouse tonight. We ate at the bar since the wait time was 1 hour for a table. We were greeted by Rich the bartender and were served drinks & sushi within minutes. The hibachi meals of a salad, soup & steak, chicken, and shrimp with rice, broccoli & mushrooms and one with scallops, shrimp, zucchini, onions & rice were delicious. Rich did a fantastic job of getting our food and drinks and everything was fresh, hot and well seasoned.

We had a good first experience here. Our server was busy but made sure our drinks stayed full. Our food was cooked the way we ordered it. I had the Steak and Shrimp hibachi. It was flavorful and not dry. The gentleman that cooked our food was polite and professional. We will definitely return .

I had never been to a hibachi style restaurant with the onion volcanoes and all that jazz. I really had a wonderful time, I felt like I was in the office. I was there with Milla for our one year anniversary. I had no idea each person gets 3 meals worth of food. Leftovers? Yes please!

I ordered my food to go and they gave me this sad salad. Not even a whole tomato, just the edge of half a slice of tomato and a little piece of cucumber. Barely any salad. My shrimp tempura roll was missing 3 pieces. And the miso soup was sooo bland, it tasted like it was rushed. No miso in it either. Just plain. Their white sauce is sweet and that is fine but this time it was too sweet we couldn’t eat much of it. Very disappointed

Sakura is alright for Japanese food. Not the best not the worst. We went on Valentine’s Day and were very happy to have been seated immediately even without a reservation. The service was mediocre, my drink was empty most of the night, but the Philadelphia roll was really good. The shrimp tempura appetizer was very odd. It had 3 shrimp and a bunch of fried veggies with it.

The experience of the show with dinner is always great and this steakhouse was no exception. The chief kept everyone at the table laughing all night. The prices seem a little steep but it’s definitely the largest amount of food I’ve ever gotten at a place like this. The quality of the food is as expected. Not the best seasoned food in the world but very filling and you always leave satisfied.

Visited on Mothers’ Day. They did not have very long of a wait, which was a pleasant surprise. Loved the fried rice and the ginger dressing. Prices are reasonable for hibachi cuisine. My family enjoyed it also, and now we have a great memory of the day.

Let me start by saying my family & I have been coming here for 7+ years the last few times we have been the most horrible. We’ve celebrated everything from birthdays, anniversaries, valentines day etc with sakura. The last 2 or 3 times we’ve been we have experienced RACISM!!!! I WILL say that it’s not from everybody but this one male waiter he is always rude with BLACK CUSTOMERS especially if its a big crowd of US!! Tonight we went for my daughters birthday, we had a group of 14 and reserved for 6:30 !! We get there and get seated and another big group is behind us (white group) celebrating a birthday also. First they put us in the back away from everybody then sat the white family in the middle 10 mins. after us. Then HE(the racist waiter) took their drink orders and got them salad and soup and we hadn’t even gotten our drinks ordered yet, so I kindly walk up to ask him is he going to serve us he replied with an attitude like he always has ” Yes, are Yall ready now” I said yes we’ve been ready. Mind you they won’t seat you if everyone is not there. I didn’t get rude back, just kindly sat down and waited 15 more minutes and still nothing!! So we called another restaurant that would be happy to serve us and I plan on speaking to manager tomorrow morning because we’ve made so many memories there and were very disappointed!! That one waiter is nothing less than RACIST TO BLACKS AND NEEDS A REALITY CHECK (putting this mildly)!!!!!!
