Staff is really friendly. The food it’s good, clean and comes out fast. The room is a little loud which can make it tough for a social lunch. You can always order a sandwich as a salad to save on calories which is nice. They never have any roast beef or any ham other than prosciutto and they don’t change the menu that often. But the food is really good.

Love The Plate, people are always friendly and the food is always good. They have many available to-go items if you are in a rush, and a nice patio to enjoy your food if you are not in a rush. There is usually a weekend special, other than that the standard menu doesn’t vary too much throughout the year. However, the selection of baked goods seems to change very frequently. Great having this place within walking distance.

What happened to one of my favorite breakfast and lunch spots? Last two visits I’ve seen a noticeable decline in service and food quality. Ordered a blondie with my sandwich to go. Got home and was surprised by mediocre pulled pork sandwich and the blondie never made it in to the bag. Not worth my time to drive back…

Can upon this place working in the area. My goodness. Got the chicken sandwich and wow was it good. So good I bought another to go, ha. I will be back. They have so many great little treats and side dishes too.

Quaint, delicious counter-service breakfast and lunch spot for sandwiches and baked goods (mostly), with a focus on healthy menu items, locally sourced ingredients, and eggs. Lots of eggs. Outdoor seating is nice in good weather.

Be careful what you order. Clarify it. I ordered two half sandwiches pointing to the ones on the counter described as Vegetarian. I sent them in a lunch for my daughter (a vegetarian) and found out that it had meat in it. No one asked what kind of half sandwich, I only pointed to the one on the counter described as vegetarian. Apparently they offer 3 types, but I was not offered a choice. My daughter is a vegetarian and could not eat it. I phoned to complain, and all they could say was “I am sorry about that”. Sorry, but I won’t be back.

Although I have only been for breakfast I would love to commend The Plate and staff for a great experience. Everyone is always polite, the baked goods, and the breakfast biscuit/sandwich(s) are amazing. Love the fresh english muffin!

It is basically my life’s mission to find the best breakfast sandwich (in Boston and in the world) and so far theirs takes the cake. Everything about it is just perfect. Coffee is delicious too!

only advise is to have covers over deserts. there is a glass that “separates” and prevents customers from reaching to grab. however it is not enough. the thought of someone’s droplets from sneezing and coughing landing on those pastries that are baked perfectly gets me sick to my stomach . please cover them up!!
