Little converted subway turned taqueria, we stopped for tacos and were mostly satisfied. The asada and El pastor were good but the carnitas were a bit dry and the barbacoa was a little fatty. We took some of the cookies for desert, they were fun. Overall, pretty good.

If you’re hungry and driving down South Sheridan and you see the Taco Bell, pull right in. Then go through to the back for some of the best Birria Tacos you’ve had at El Palenque. Owner and staff lovely and accomodating. Support your locals. Screw the chains. This is the real deal 10/10 ~
