I’ve been waiting to try this place I heard great things the scenery is decent and the staff was really friendly I felt like it was a little overpriced for what I got and I actually got sick from what I ate. It tore my stomach up. They also charge their tip for two people which I didn’t know…not that I wasn’t going to leave one

Sweet and spicy shrimp was great! My friend liked the ginger Asian wings. Fries were okay. Chicken sandwich was a little overcooked end not particularly flavorful, but it wasn’t too bad either. Very limited menu.

Truth Matters
Let me start by saying the 1 star does not mean the food was bad. Whomever the cook is, hands down know what they are doing. The 1 star is for customer service. I came to this location for an event that they were not prepared for and thought it was a nice place until the owner’s wife (at the time did not know) showed her TRUE self. When I say she lack customer service I truly mean it. She talk to people like you are a child. When you ask her for something she make it seem like you are getting on her nerves. Please don’t ask for second. Here where I draw the line and will not return, when you get done eating and receive your receipt at this location they ADD a gratuity to what they want YOU to pay, not what the standard is (I have no problem tipping when the service is GOOD). They add a credit card FEE to people who pay by cash (better check your receipt). To add these additional FEES is unacceptable when the service is horrible.

My husband ordered a carry-out for our first experience with Jay Birds, and the food was delicious. We had barbecue chicken and turkey chops. The green beans were simply delicious, I never had green beans that tasted like that. Also, the sweet potato/yam was very delicious as well (brown sugar was in a separate container for the yam). The turkey chops were fried and very tasty. The barbecue chicken was good. Oh, whipped potatoes were delicious too. We will return for more.
