My Name Is Melanie Fernandez, Born and raised in New York where my Great Uncle owned Salcounie Deli since 1976 in the Bronx. Since then, he has opened up several deli’s throughout New York making him the talk of the neighborhoods throughout and the Best Kept Secret in The City!
Mellie’s New York Deli & Eatery brings a distinct New York Neighborhood Deli experience here to our hometown of Bradenton. We could not be more excited to bring The Real Thing! Growing up working alongside my Uncle in his delis in the Bronx, I knew nothing other than the real taste and smells of fresh New York Bagels, Heroes and perfectly stuffed sandwiches made with New York Products by New York People.

I had a previous bad experience with Mellies, but it turns out that my UberEats driver was a no-show not once, but twice, on the same order! I stopped by in person a few days later to try the food. The Sarasota location is within a gas station. I ordered the potato balls and loved them. They use Boars Head meats. The guy running it that day was friendly. I’ve never been to a authentic NY deli, but this place will have me returning for the potato balls.

Biggest pizza slices I’ve ever seen. Buffet style with tots and fries. Everyday day breakfast and lunch is different and made fresh right in front of you if you like. Definently check em out, girls are sooo friendly!!
