I live in the southwest so my expectations for Hispanic food can be different than where I’m traveling to. Someone recommended this place to us- not bad but not blow your mind.

Gourmet flavors in everything I tasted. I especially loved the fire roasted salsa with my chips; pleasantly unexpected and appreciated. I know it wasn’t salsa from a jar–THANK YOU MTJ! Our sever Thyme was friendly and very accommodating. Our food took just a bit longer to cook than I expected from a Taco joint, but the flavors, presentation, and deliciousness explained it all– Our food was hot and cooked to order, so all the way fresh! The Paloma mocktail was SOOOO GOOD. A freshly made/squeezed grapefruit-tequila refresher. Great place to take family, kids, to have girls night out, or a couples group date. Thank MTJ for a great experience!

Food was solid but lacked real bold flavors all around. The queso was mild and had the consistency of a beer cheese instead of that ooey gooey yumminess you’d expect. The tacos were good portions and fairly priced. I’d come back for the atmosphere and drink selection. Was able to catch some live music going on outside while I enjoyed my meal. Griffin was very welcoming and friendly, he did a wonderful job!

We LOVE this place!! Amazing food, great cocktails (and even better mocktails ) and such an excellent staff. We sat at the bar and had Kate as our bartender, she was so attentive, quick to check on us, and gave great suggestions. All the staff was very friendly and you can tell they love where they work – they are a fun, wild bunch! We are so happy to have a Mission Taco out South finally!!! Pro tip: order the Flautas & the frozen Marg.

This is one of my favourites from the city, it has good appetizers and tacos to choose. I liked their fries too

I am giving it 4 stars for now because they have some kinks to work out since they just opened. First I called to see if they was a wait the manager said no so I literally walked in within 5 minutes and there was a wait because the kitchen was backed up, so we waited for 15 minutes. Once we got seated it took a few moments for the waitress, she was very nice, we ordered our food but I also told her that we were going to order food to go when we were almost done, she went ahead and took it but said she would wait. The to go food was the first to come out, so naturally it sat, 5 minutes later my food came, then the chips&salsa, then 5 minutes later my daughter’s food so the timing of our food was wayyyy off. The food was tasty, the chicken was a little pink still in spots. A little pricey on some items since everything is basically separate so it adds up fast. I will give it another try when they have been open a little longer and work the kinks out.

So bad. Guac was brown and a day old. Queso was so thick and tasted like it was from a jar, the corn tortilla in both my tacos was disgusting, the steak in my one taco was dry. It was actually one of the worst food I’ve had out at a restaurant. Server was good and love the turf for the kids but food was so bad.

The server looked like was hired 30 min before I walked in. Very noisy place and with the experience showing zero experience about the menu and talking in a real low voice, at one point I gave up trying to order some more. Food was good though and nice options of beer on tap.

Such a cute lil taco joint!! The street corn off the Cobb is KILLER. I recommend ordering with guac and cheese and making a lil mash up with it all! Great service, great food.

Average. South Beach was bland and dry. Kid’s burrito was basically a rolled up shell.
