We were referred here. It’s only reason we tried it. We ordered steak hibachi and shrimp hibachi. The portions were tiny. Especially compared to other places. The rice was fried and hardly any eggs in the rice. Steak was tiny bits and tasted like tenderized steaks. I literally had to season my food and add an egg to it when I made it home. The yum yum sauce tasted like salad dressing so I’m assuming they gave us extra salad dressing instead of yum yum sauce. The Miso soup came in a tiny styrofoam container and was cloudy. I didn’t eat. The shrimp had the same portion size and blandness. I honestly see why it’s cheaper than other hibachi places. There’s no quality to the food and the food portions are tiny. Staff/Hostess were welcoming and our food was prepared on time. I will never return or recommend this place.

We are never let down when we come. We were lucky enough to come around 12:30, right before the rush. Once again, our sushi was so good and super filling. I swear they’re making the portions larger each time we come.

Yes, the food is delicious! But the best thing about this restaurant is the service. My husband and I had dinner here last night and were lucky enough to have Tia as our waitress, she provided exceptional service! Together with the amazing food we will definitely be back!

This place blew me away. I must say that my expectations for the sushi were mediocre, given the location of the restaurant relative to the ocean. However, the restaurant sure proved me wrong. The sushi I was served is among the best I have ever experienced. I was there during a relatively slow time, so I had multiple staff helping me with whatever I needed. They were all extremely attentive, and courteous beyond belief. I will most definitely be returning next time I pass through Meridian

Came in for the first time the other day and was served by tia. She was absolutely phenomenal, knew her stuff and even recommended a few of her favourite dishes which I very much enjoyed! Her positivity and personality was unmatched. Will definitely be back here again for her.

Yamato Japan, let me tell you did a great job making my Sushi that evening. Delicious, the steak and shrimp dinner they have is ON FIRE! Real good diced steak, real good shrimp and fresh vegetables. They are surely worth visiting for dine in or carry out ! Go !
