We ordered to go today for the first time. It was exceptional. We had the California Roll, Onion Soup, and Hibachi Steak/Shrimp. Everything tasted great and was cooked like I ordered. Inside the restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. We will be back again.

Stopped in here for lunch while I was on business in Talladega. It was great! Don’t let the small town vibe fool you. I worked in restaurants in Seattle and Atlanta and this place was really very good for the locale. I had spicy tuna roll and gyoza and both were delightful and cheap as hell. Service was GREAT. I had the sweetest guy. He said it was his second day and he was running around like mad. But he got me my drink so quickly and was super attentive. Young blonde dude. He’s a keeper. The bathrooms are gorg and the vibe is great. Absolutely stop in.

The food here was good …. for Talladega. $10 for a lunch special of steak and veggies with a side of fried rice. Quick service at first. However, come with good company to help pass the time while you wait for your meal, it does take a little longer than usual. I was pleased and will go again, just probably not as often as most would. But it is one of the better food options for Talladega.

Today, we came to Red Bowl around 2pm to find they have new hours of operation. The hours posted for Saturdays are from 4pm-9pm. We came back at 8:30 only to be told they stop taking tables at 8:30, but we could make a to-go order. We informed them that of they are open until 9, they should seat people until 9, and that we had already been there once today to try to eat here. The young man/teenager that has worked there a couple of months said, “Too bad. We close at 9 and stop taking tables at 8:30.” The cashier was very friendly and apologetic, but this young man needs to find another industry to work in if he cannot learn/follow customer service procedures.

Go out of town. I just threw away my sushi roll (tasted like canned tuna) and tuna wasn’t even supposed to be in it. Super fishy taste. It was dry and plain gross. The filet mignon was way over cooked (grey throughout) and not seasoned. The shrimp was over cooked, chewy, and dry. And the fried rice was the worst fried rice I’ve ever had. $70 almost for food that mostly ended up in the trash. The two stars is simply because I feel bad leaving a one star.

•Just wanted to add to this. Came again and ordered dessert, didn’t receive that and had to wait after finishing dinner for 40 minutes. The waiter didn’t say anything about our dessert and excused himself saying he was told he had two tables. One of 8 and one of 3 then myself and my partner. After having a long day working hearing someone complain whole also not receiving dessert is just a bummer. This is the only proper asian place to come to sit down and eat around here. And every time I come here the workers talk to us almost until we leave, we hardly ever eat unsupervised or unaccompanied.This restaurant is okay. Better than NOT having a sushi place I guess. But this time is not cool. Nor only did they not de-vein the shrimp this time. Only notices because I saw something black coming out of the shrimp. There’s also a hair on our sushi plate. The servers seemed scared to ask the chef to make our sushi. He seemed upset and the sushi is lose not gonna lie. I’ll be waiting a while to come back.
