We had been wanting to come here for years on the recommendation of a local chef. Finally got there today could not be more disappointed.

Ordered via Grubhub today. Working the weekend and forgot to grab breakfast. I found a hair in my biscuits and gravy as pictured here. Hopefully this is one off event and not a normal instance or evidence of further poor food handling.

I decided to go to FOKO in person. I heard about it thru Uber Eats, where I experienced it for the first time months ago and again last week. FOKO IS SO GOOD!!!!

$17 for a 2/3 filled bowl with 2.5 slices of thin pork belly is a Highway robbery. I will say it’s a pretty bowl, but this didn’t even satisfy the smallest of appetites.

We had breakfast here that I would almost call Mexico/Louisville fusion food. Whatever it was, it was delicious. We had the breakfast burrito and the Papa’s biscuits and gravy. Both were really really good. And the hot sauce was actually hot, which made my day. Also, the avocado lime juice was incredible! The atmosphere of the market is super cool as well. Highly recommend!

I ordered the chicken enchiladas with salsa verde. The portion was a little on the small side and didn’t come with any sides, so it was a little pricey for what it was. That being said, it was very tasty, and the service was excellent. The guacamole was delicious, but the tortilla chips were overcooked. It wasn’t the best, but I would eat it again.

I became aware of FOKO from watching food network tournament of champions during the pandemic. I was excited to venture out to the Logan Street Market and give Foko a try. All I can say is wow. The staff was friendly and helpful explaining the menu. My wife and I decided to try the tacos and the biscuits and gravy!!! Oh my these dishes were absolutely amazing! I can not wait to go back and try more of the menu!!! After my meal I had an opportunity to speak with the head chef. He was a genuine humble individual that has amazing culinary skills!!!!

Everything here is delicious. As someone who does not like sweets, even the desserts were phenomenal. The hours are not great but that is probably a logan street market problem. I hope they get their own storefront some day.
