Great food, but the service was lacking. Of course it could have been “one of those days” kind of thing, but as a first impression, it did leave a sour taste in my mouth. Food was definitely well cooked though.

Stopped in here during a drive from Pagosa Springs and was overall disappointed. After being told to seat ourselves it took 5-10 minutes to be helped and we were sitting at the bar! There were only two people in the front of the house one being the bartender Chris who didn’t seem to be doing much and the other was a young girl who was scrambling around trying to take care of all 6 tables. The fried pickles we ordered we’re under cooked. The side salad was brown wilted spring mix and the burnt tips were not great. However the green beans were good. The service and food were both highly disappointing which is unfortunate because it’s a cute little place.

Very good in terms of service and price, but I’m from KC where BBQ is top notch. The brisket was really over smoked at Sid’s, same with ribs. Not terrible but could use a little less time in the smoker. Burgers and fries are good though.

By giving this place a One is to much we ordered then they did not have what we wanted we ordered tea and was brought out 1/2 glass said they were brewing fresh they lost our Order then 25 min later no tea but got our lunch. We ordered 2 $4.00 items 2 $2.00 teas we never got and when we went to pay out charged us $24.97 What the heck was that. Will not EVER eat here again and will tell all my friends to drive past this place. Crappy experience.

Out of certain foods that are on the menu. It’s a great idea to ask what they don’t have. The french fries were under cooked and oil soaked, when I asked our waitress about a item we did not receive she coped a attitude and got a little snippy with me. We will never ever ever go back to so called Sid’s High Country BBQ.

We were passing through town during the off season and Sid’s was one of the few places open. We sat at the bar and had a lovely gentleman named Chris serving us. The place was full of what seemed like mostly locals but was shortly bum rushed with prom kids and other tourist like ourselves. The staff clearly wasn’t prepared but handled it as best as hey possibly could. We ate our dinner with spoons which was fine with us, a little odd but we didn’t mind. Chris was very apologetic about the spoons and the wait and bought us our beers. Personally, I didn’t find the wait too bad.

I really like Sid’s, but this visit was less than stellar. I ordered a Sid’s sampler platter. They were out of ribs so I asked for burnt ends instead. The burnt ends were dry and fatty, the chicken wings and biscuits were small. The server was clearly having a bad day. The price of the platter went up from $20 to $32. I thought it was underpriced at $20, but $32 for the quality I received was disappointing. I hope Sid’ s continues to succeed and I will return in hopes of better food and service. Come on Sid’ s, get it together…I’ll be back.

Food has always been good! Only complaint I have about the food is they are always out of some items. Wait staff is very slow and forgetful. They rarely check on refills or if you need anything. Also watch your receipt. We noticed after we left the waitress added a tip on the receipt. We were a party of 2 and we always leave cash. She got us for double.
