One of the best Thai restaurants outside of Thailand in my opinion. Wow! Great atmosphere. Great service, kind and helpful. But the food is out of this world. The mango Curry and the pumpkin curry are phenomenal. The papaya salad is outstanding. I could go on. In the historic Nevada City with a lovely patio. One of the best restaurants in Nevada City.

You can’t go wrong enjoying their patio, but be brave and venture past that lunch menu! TRY THE MUSSELS!!!! Truly divine. Also check out the “salad” section and don’t think of it so much as salad. We have the seafood salad and it was beyond delicious. The ground pork dish was right up there to. The mussels, tho! I wanted to put my face in the bowl. Service was friendly without being intrusive. Very accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu. A bit pricey when you jump off the overly familiar menu but worth every penny!

This is my first time visiting Sopa Thai Cuisine. The food was pretty good. One of the chicken appetizers had little to no chicken. The fried rice was better than most. Service was pretty good. There’s nothing to brag about but nothing to complain about, either. The atmosphere was drab, pretty dark, and old.

We came here from the Bay Area and we’re very impressed with this restaurant. The portions are huge and the food is delicious. The service is good and the food is very good. Highly recommend!

Friendly staff, only tried one dish so far (Tom Kha soup). While not very thick, it had good flavor, lots of chicken and only $17 (after tax) for about 28 ounces. Will definitely return to try more dishes and enjoy the patio.

From the land that time forgot. Great Thai food. Maybe one of the ghosts from the gold rush days could greet the patrons? Bring chopsticks? Bring a box? Should the owners decide to hire a wait staff they would be dangerous.

It was my birthday lunch! We sat on the patio where it was cool and shaded. Our waiter was super nice and helpful. Great food….and so much it’s dinner and lunch tomorrow! I will be back to try much more of their food.i had pai se-we noodle dish with shrimp..my friend had pad pai with toasted tofu…we both had our red chili sauce on the side so we could control the heat . .try the sweet Thai tea it’s really good!

Sadly we didn’t have an ideal experience here. Although the flavor was phenominal, the vegetables in the curry were really undercooked and the waiter was not authentically hospitable during most of our stay. He got a little nicer at the end when it was time for payment and a tip… Maybe it’s just our experience that was tainted but I’d like to give my input to avoid the same mishap with the next person or at least some preparation in something to possibly expect before coming here.

Located in a nifty historical building in downtown Nevada city. The staff was fast, polite and very efficient. The food was fantastic and came I nice large portion sizes. We will definitely make this place a regular stop whenever we are in town. It’s a hidden, tucked away little gem of a restaurant.
