Fat Boy’s was named one of the 50 best barbecue restaurants in Alabama so I gave it a try. I enjoyed my meal as the barbecue was moist with a good texture. They have a great sauce that is made with a unique acid…pineapple juice. It’s sweet but not too sweet. The baked beans and onion rings were good and they have self-serve Coke products, which I love! They also serve these fun little hand pies, which are the perfect finish for lunch. I initially didn’t order one, then I saw two blackberry pies delivered to the table beside me. They got their hooks in me and I’m glad they did.

This is some of the best BBQ I have eaten! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The workers were also very friendly.

Our first visit here was great. We felt very welcome and comfortable. We ordered the combination platter for the two of us at lunch.

I just ate here a few minutes ago. The pulled pork was tender and delicious. The cashier had Great Customer Service Skills which is what I Love most about a restaurant. The food came out fast and hot… I will definitely come back here real soon…

We went here for a late lunch, while visiting the area, based on the good reviews. We were disappointed in the quality of the food, poor service, and high prices for what you got. I had the big pulled pork sandwich with fries and my wife opted for the ribs. My sandwich came out soaked in grease, with a cold stale bun. My wife’s rib plate was country style single ribs, not a rack or half rack. Her potato salad was really bad. The fried okra was pretty good, but should have been cooked longer. I made the mistake of ordering a Peach Cobbler, which was probably the worst Cobbler that I have ever had, and I’m 71 years old. We will not return.

I’ve been complaining about the barbecue in Alabama for 17 years, BUT NOT ANYMORE! We ordered two rib plates with potato salad and baked beans. Everything was seasoned absolutely perfectly, and the ribs were easily pulled from the bones. I’m from south Louisiana and extremely critical about restaurants, so I know how good food tastes. You won’t be disappointed. I highly recommend this barbecue joint!!!! Wow…..

This has to be some of the best barbeque I’ve ever had. All of the meat was incredibly tender and flavorful and the desserts were to die for. I am only in town for 2 days and I’m pretty sure I’m going back tomorrow. Cannot rate this place highly enough.

This place has been around for as long as I can remember. Staff is extremely kind and knows my family very well. Easily one of my favorite places to eat and always take some extra home to eat as well.

This was literally the worst barbecue I have ever had in my life. I am fairly confident the brisket came out of a crockpot. Went with a group of 5 none of us finished our food and went to Panda Express down the road. If you are familiar with good barbecue do not waste your time here. On the plus side the people were really nice, just wish the food was better.
