My husband and I were rather excited for Italian food at Trattoria as it has such incredible reviews across platforms, but what we got was poor service, zero attention, and the food was subpar. We ordered for two main course dishes along with an appetizer and the appetizer was never brought to us and there was no apology for the same either. The service was curt and cold and not at all friendly. We wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and we don’t think we’d give this place a second chance because despite calling for the most basic dishes such as Chicken Parmigiano and Shrimp Scampi the food was below average with zero flavoring and not worth the price at all.

Come here for the food, but stay for the service. Jimmy is a delight! I will come back just for him. If he’s not here, I’m not coming. He was friendly, helpful, and so nice! I appreciated all his suggestions. We had the Calamari Fritti to start, very yummy and hot! The soup of the day was very good as well. The special was this amazing filet. We also had the Chicken Romano. Both dishes were cooked beautifully and the portions were huge! I cannot stress enough how wonderful the food and service are. Definitely will be back and ask Jimmy!

I have dined at Trattoria countless times. The menu offers something for everyone. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. I have enjoyed a variety of entrees over the years and it is hard to pick a favorite. On a recent visit Jimmy was attentive and friendly offering his opinion pertaining to several dishes when solicited. Bottom line – if you want a great dining experience at a reasonable price Trattoria Toscano is the place to dine.

I was completely captivated by Trattoria Toscana in St. Louis, a hidden gem with delicious Italian food and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. I was immediately transported to the heart of Tuscany the moment I stepped inside, surrounded by the homey charm and rustic elegance that make for a special dining experience.

We decided to have dinner here just on a whim. This is a really nice restaurant with top notch service. I ordered the chicken al vino bianco and it was the juiciest chicken I think I have ever had! The vegetable soup was the soup of the day and it was also amazing. The other two dishes we ordered were the veal marsala and the veal alla Parmigiano, both of which were fantastic! I would recommend dressing on the nicer side; I was definitely under dressed but treated fine all the same. 🙂 I have a broken leg with a scooter and our server took the time to walk me to the restroom and open the door for me and then waited outside until I was done to open the door so I could get out easily and head back to the table. I will absolutely be back again! This is a must try if you haven’t already.

Who says you have to go to the Hill for great Italian food in STL? Cozy, local place serving Central Italian favorites. Daily specials include sea bass and pastas. Good value compared to others on the Hill.

Great neighborhod restaurant. Food is excellent. The fresh baked Seeded Italian Bread is crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. Put some olive oil and Parmesan on it and you’re in heaven. Salads and soups are great. I love the Linguini con Vole, but often have the Daily Special and save some room for dessert. Great staff with very good service.

Another great meal at Trattoria Toscana! This is a hidden gem in South St Louis County. The food is excellent and the service is excellent. We had Chicken Spedini and Linguine Tutto Mare. Salads, bread, and side vegetables were flavorful. They have a robust wine list as well as a full bar. The ambience is comfortable and our experience was quite pleasant. We even have leftovers for another meal!

Went here with my friend not knowing it was a slightly fancier place. Really good but we had to share a meal bc it was expensive. Guy was really nice and place looks cool. Definitely more of a fancy date night restaurant
