I don’t know what has happened to Jacks but they are not as good as they used to be. I’ve been to 2 or 3 different Jack’s in the Birmingham retro areas and Blount county Al . The burgers have gone down in taste and value. The buns always taste very stale at the location I have been to. The service has failed as far as serving standards from before. I don’t go to Jack’s hardly any more. I used to go at least one to two times a week but not anymore. I’m saddened by this because I used to love Jack’s hamburgers. The chicken servings are down also. Too much batter on them and hardly any chicken meat. Biscuits are always hard as a rock. Well you asked so I’m telling.

This is about like any jacks that I’ve ever been to except much slower service. I don’t know if they were just having a bad day. There seem to be plenty of people working there but it took and exceptionally long time just to give me a very simple order. Everyone’s order was taking a very long time. The food quality was about the same as any fast food restaurants, but I do like the atmosphere a little bit better than your typical fast food.

They got my idea wrong giving me several sandwiches instead of one. I returned the bag of food to get them to correct. Manager argued that my order was in that bag, too. They pulled that out and put in a new sack. Food was cold. Sandwich was wrong as to dressings. Very disappointed.

My son wants Jacks chicken tenders all the time so we are regulars. I assured my son he would like the new chicken nuggets they just released. We actually went inside to wait on our order to go.. these SAD excuses for chicken nuggets feel like they’ve been cooked like 7-9 hours earlier and just sat there.. like rubber and super hard.. I wouldn’t let him eat them because I was afraid of actual food poisoning.. and that’s NOT acceptable! Like FOOD POISONING from a nugget meal from Your restaurant: THEN I try calling to inform them of the situation and no one answered the phone! I called 4 times and the phone hung up on me!! Unacceptable and not ok.. they were SO HARD and cold and rubbery.. now my son refuses to try the nuggets ever again

Line took about 25 minutes to get through I only had 3 people waiting to order in front of me. When I got to the window the lady read off my order and specifically asked if I wanted bbq sauce I said yes. I got honey mustard. She stood around waiting for about 10 seconds before she went to go get the food. The chicken and fries were just thrown into the bag. Chicken was cold, fries were cold. Best thing I had was my ice water and finally getting out of line.

If I could give zero stars I would. The manager this morning was so rude to us. Got mad because my husband turned a can over to make sure it was empty before putting it into the little trash can in the car. Nothing poured out of the can. We asked for two Carmel coffees with no ice because I can’t drink it fast enough before the ice would melt. It was packed full of ice. My husband also got a double order of bacon for us to share before I go into work and there was barely one portion of bacon in there and it was cold. I’ve had problems with a girl on their later shift being rude and obnoxious while using funny noises to take orders through the drive thru. This was a horrible experience and I pray no one else has to deal with these rude people that this jacks has hired. Why would anyone want to go here with such rude people working. Especially a manager.

We stood in line for 15 minutes with several people in front us, who hadn’t ordered either. The so called manger was continually touching her nose, she was also filing drive thru orders and completely ignoring the counter customers. I watched her practically throw a bag of food to a customer who had been waiting for well over 20 minutes. It wasn’t about being under staffed, it was about having people who are under trained. Needless to say I walked out.

Slow service…however when I reached the window I realized the young lady in the drive thru was literally busting her butt while 2 adult managers stood by chatting. Only when they caught several people looking at them did the male manager walk over and look at the screen only to make a sparky comment about the young lady being slow. Smh and they wonder why no one wants to work fast food.
