With their warning, their sandwich is piled high enough that we had to split our sandwich. This place is wonderful! Fun for kids to use their old fashioned toys, children’s table and chairs while the adults can remember oldies pictures, equipment and even a banana bike and an old fashioned ping pong table!

I was in town during NC Trail Days and was looking for lunch. Some local residents recommended Donna Kaye’s and she did not disappoint! I grew up going to authentic delis in NJ and visits to NYC where the subs are incredibly delicious. I had The New Yorker at Donna Kaye’s and couldn’t believe just delicious it was – awesome portions and reasonably priced. This restaurant brought back memories of tasty sandwiches from my childhood. I’ll be back when I’m in Elkin or make a special trip here and there. If your looking for an authentic deli step in and dine here! Wonderful lunch spot.

My wife and I have been going to eat lunch here for the past few weeks. It’s awesome. Huge space with lots of art, pictures, and games! The food is fresh and not only tastes great, but is also visually appealing. Bring an appetite because you will want to eat the whole sandwich. Take some time to talk to the owner. She is awesome. This will be your new favorite place downtown, just like it has become ours.

Fantastic sandwiches! Great bread and a variety of different breads. All sorts of meats and cheeses. The sandwiches are very large and very filling. The prices are quite reasonable. Elkin is really turning to a great revitalized downtown and this is one of the places I would highly recommend trying.

Stopped for lunch before heading to Stone Mountain. Friendly folks, delicious sandwiches and very accommodating for our picky kids! We had 5 different sandwiches and all were great! The sub roll was a perfect chewy, soft roll and the other breads were tasty too.
