My partner (Kevin) and I stopped by for a late lunch today. Had the pleasure of meeting David. We’ve passed this place plenty of times and finally decided to stop in. The name intrigued us. We ordered a few appetizrers and entrees. Everything was delicious! We will stop passing by and start stoping in. You should do the same, you won’t be disappointed ! We’ll be back to try more.

I came here on good recommendation from a frequent customer and we decided to celebrate my partners birthday here and WOW ! This place is great ! We were greeted and sat by the owner who was super nice and a great Maitré De. We started with a pot of warm saké which was excellent, both in presentation and quality (of taste) and ordered our appetizers. We got a spread of items to try and everything was delicious! Knock out flavors that were pronounced, there, and without over powering. It was really refreshing since it’s been awhile since any of us had Thai food. So you know when a chef gets it right; it really takes it home! The soup is to die for! It’s absolutely stellar! I can see why our recommender has it at least once a week. Our entrees came and we were yet again impressed. The presentation, portions, and taste of everything was divine it’s a surprise of a location with street parking ; surrounded by residential. And you may not expect such tasty food to come out of such a place… but it is and it’s there! You should treat yourself here time and time again! It’s clean from the dining room, the bathrooms to the bar, it was emasculate! I’m really impressed.

Considering the look from the outside and the interesting name, we were hoping in a hidden gem, we couldn’t have been further from the truth. The interior is hideous and I believe those boots haven’t been wiped down in quite a while. The service is non existent: they come, they take the order, bring the food then disappear: not a smile, no checking on us, nothing and I m a restaurant manager and have worked as a waitress for 10 years.

Grabbed some food for takeout… Dumplings were terrible, tasted mushy and were not traditional thai dumplings. Fried rice was oily and unappetizing, pretty good taste though. The pad thai was terrible, super oily and somehow tasted like Bbq sauce (this is not a compliment).

I absolutely LOVE this place! They’re consistently good and because they’re in my neighborhood I can just walk over & pick up dinner easily. The bar is a lot of fun too & also walkable to and from so I never need to drive home!!

Ordered the Chicken Pad See Ew and wonton soup. First time ordering delivery from here and it was a good experience. I ordered through Grubhub, but was soon given a call that their driver no longer delivers to Jersey City and to use DoorDash instead. So just a head’s up to JC customers! Thought I would need to get a refund and reorder, but the staff member guaranteed they would deliver through GH this one time. And they even delivered early! Thanks for the yummy food and the good experience!
