I’m ashamed to say, this was my 1st visit to Nelson’s Buffeteria despite living here my entire life. I’ve been missing out! Today we got the Chicken Fried Steak and the Chicken Fried Chicken. They were BOTH absolutely delicious! The breading on the steaks was perfect, the meat was juicy and tender and everything was piping hot and fresh! The staff was super friendly and helpful. If you’re heading over, keep in mind that they have limited hours. 7-2 M-F.

Went here with my wife, and my boss and his wife. The food kept me full all day, they don’t hesitate to fill your plate up. The prices are good for home town cooking. You won’t find another place quite like it and remember “HELLO CHICKEN!” Get the chicken fried steak. Also the pies are home made, she has been doing them for a very long time and they are REAL pies.

I have to update my review. I called in my order. I ordered & my coworker ordered separately we gave different names & they still rang it up together. No problem. I get back to work & my order is wrong. I ask for chicken fried chicken & got chicken fried steak, which I don’t eat. Not to mention the guy that took our order was rude & basically hung up on me & was just as rude in person

Given it a five We dined in Had the best server Had Chicken fried chicken 2 eggs over medium hash browns n wheat toast off it had a side of gravy I dipped it in here and there but it was just so delicious with or without the gravy this was the first restaurant to actually put butter on your toast not part buttery n rest dry but theirs was nice and buttery and moist Kudos to the cook, our server the staff that checked on us and the cashier You all were a great team

We were pleasantly surprised. The breakfast was really good. There was a line of people waiting for lunch to be served and I almost wish we would have waited to try it instead but I was happy with the breakfast they served none the less. Good service, good prices, good food. We’ll definitely be back. P.S.- Just look at those meringue pies. (They only have lemon on Fridays)

My wife and I went there for lunch. It was very good. Two thumbs up. It was a very good value. I had fried chicken and mashed potatoes. She had the chicken fried steak. I will return. It was reasonable. Tough to beat this restaurant for a down home good lunch.

Never a disappointment here. However, today I ordered a cheese burger with fries. Good, BUT my fries were slightly overcooked & mushy from the hamburger steam. I still ate them though. I’ll be back.
