The food was good and the waiter was very nice. But there was one particular waitress that needed to get retrained or go back to Mexico just to regain her love for her own people. Her name was Esmeralda, I asked her if I could have a box for takeout, and she looked at me and told me to get it myself, and she pointed the corner counter… i was confused at first and couldn’t believe it, so when the other table asked her for a box, she right away asked how many and got the boxes for them… I came up to her again and asked her one more time and made sure she wanted me to really get my OWN boxes. And she said the same thing YES and pointed the corner counter AGAIN. I didn’t argue or make a scene. I went to pay my bills and told the person who took my payment that I think I was being discriminated by their own employee. My $60 bill and I still tipped $10 cuz the waiter who served me and my kids was very kind. I know it was just a box, but to get discriminated by your own kind was more hurtful than anything. So if u are brown AVOID, the waitress name ESMERALDA. I will pray she changes her ways.

Best Mexican we have eaten in a long time. Server was great. Place was packed but we didn’t have to wait. Would have given it a five * but the temperature got so hot inside we had to leave. It was actually cooler outside.

This was the most well decorated Mexican style restaurants I’ve ever visited. The decor was super cute.

Good food and drinks, great atmosphere! I sat at the bar and I don’t think there was a bartender on staff for Tuesday afternoon so the service was lacking a little bit… But that’s hardly a complaint. Food came out hot and in a timely manner, it was reasonably priced and, overall a great experience

Good food and good prices. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was good, but the restaurant was a little dark inside. They probably need some brighter lightbulbs. Other than that, I’m always satisfied with the food I get here

I was so excited to eat here until I got serviced. I want to start by saying I am a black woman and I drive trucks over the road. Im from Delaware but today my truck route led me here in Tennessee. After driving for 11hrs I chose to stop here and get a drink. When I first walked in I loved it. It was festive and very colorful I was excited to try the food. I sat at the bar. The bartender didnt know any english so another guy came over to me and asked my order. I said a mango margarita. He translated my order to the bartender which was fine. When my drink came out it was HUGE! I immediately didnt want it. Its a huge drink with maybe one shot of liquor in it. Completely watered down. Ok so this lady sat next to me and ordered a small margarita. Hers came and I said can I please have that size instead? At this point Ive only had one sip. Of course the one bartender didn’t understand so I had to wait for the other guy to come over and translate. When I said I wanted the small he got smart and said you should’ve said that. Where Im from there is only one size margarita I didnt know I had to say a small margarita please. When I said Im sorry I didnt know Im from Delaware he replied ‘Well Your in Tennessee now’ Very nasty attitude. I just walked out and went to another restaurant. I refuse to be treated rudely for no reason. If you offer multiple sizes maybe you should ask customers which size instead of trying to be slick and give them a big shareable margarita when I came alone. The old me wouldve thrown the glass margarita at his head for his rude response but I chose to leave instead. For my first time in Tennessee I did not feel the southern hospitality, At least as a black woman dining alone. I didnt argue or even reply as he made the new smaller drink I walked out. The lady next to me (white lady) even said to him, well she just didnt know no need to be rude. I hate to say it but I feel because of my color I was treatwd rudely from the beginning but Im put in a situation to have to walk away and find somewhere else to eat. Horrible experience.

I live right next door and have eaten here for a long time. Over the years it has been hit or miss but they always seemed to redeem themselves. Well I have given up and will not be back. They are serving up substandard food that they would never eat themselves. I feel like take advantage of people that do not know better. I received tacos yesterday and the meat was scraps and hunks of fat. The cilantro was rotten so I was scared to eat the onions, and it came with one little sliver of lime. Also have to ask for a lime every time I order a margarita. They do not care and try and get by with the bare minimum.

The exterior does not do this restaurant justice. This is hands down, the best Mexican food I have ever had at a restaurant. The prices are moderate. The decor is quite playful. And the staff was amazing. I can’t say enough good things about Cielito Lindo in Venor. We’re from Ontario Canada, and we’re passing through. What a find.
