We really enjoyed El Capitan! It is a Guadalajara-based Mexican seafood restaurant. The salsa isn’t the traditional tomatoes paste sauce like everywhere else. The food was excellent (reminder: it’s not your typical “Mexican” restaurant. It’s a coastal based Mexican.) with its uniqueness! Our service was perfect. Yes, the menu has a lot of Spanish words on it, but our server was very helpful. We had the fish tacos and fajitas. The atmosphere and decor was delightful. We will most definitely visit again.

This is a good seafood restaurant. The is very clean and I loved the decorations. Very nice atmosphere and I loved all the natural light. So many restaurants are so dark you can hardly see. Our meal was tasty and everything was enjoyable. There are so many unique dishes I haven’t seen anywhere else. The reason for the 4 stars was our waitress that day didn’t speak English. We were trying to find out how spicy different dishes were and what ingredients were in certain dishes for allergies.

Great place to eat. This is NOT Tex-Mex food. Was here on a Sunday night. Pretty busy. Most of their menu’s are in Spanish so you might have to ask for an English menu if needed. The fried fish was excellent as were the bacon wrapped shrimp.

The service was great minus a small language barrier. Between the 2 of us. And the food was absolutely amazing and I high recommend giving them a try. Just no that fresh means Raw. Was the only complaint I’d have.

Arrived to pick up food at 11:53am. Was told 20 minute wait. 40 minutes later I am still waiting. Nobody checking on me or offering me a drink or anything. Not even busy. I deliver DoorDash and don’t get paid by the hour so having to sit here and wait for nearly an hour is money out of my pockets.

The molcajete was wonderful & incredible ( Diablo sauce was very salty). It was full of great GIANT prawns, medium shrimp, huge & tasty muscles & little tiny octopi. Loved it!! My daughter’s burrito was very good & we all really liked their Mexican rice. However, would not rec. the shrimp empanadas & the fajitas were a big disappointment. No char & not worth getting again-so- skip the fajitas & get something more exotic & you’ll be very happy.
