I got the red snapper dish. It comes with rice and beans, some sauce, 2 pieces of fried plantain, and some Haitian pickles. I really enjoyed the food. This restaurant is in my bucket list whenever I am in Macon, Atlanta, or McDonough.

very bad recent experience at Tambou restaurant and lounge today. Ordered my food at 2 pm they said it would be an hour for my food. Got there and had to wait an additional 20 minutes for them to tell me there was a problem with my order.…mean while it hot as HELL in the shabby place. Then they told me they did have everything for the goat and chicken platter. Pathetic Place !! Not mention while I was waiting in the sweltering heat…..I told the waitress there were roaches crawling around the counter behind her where the white cups were ……I couldn’t believe it. She said she would wipe them off…..How disgusting There were also bugs crawling on the floor. I love the food but scared to eat anything out of there anymore. They need to improve their service, stop being cheap and turn on some AC and get someone to spray for them roaches up in there! If not, they want be in business very much longer!!!

The staff was very personal and engaging; however, the food did not equal to the service. The rice and peas were very bland, and the other food: salad and chicken were very spicy but on on the surface. The atmosphere was very cozy…however, there were apparatuses blocking different walk ways…The people who ran the establishment again were very charming. If I had to provide a value for my meal, I would give a generous amount of $11.99. The salad was cheap iceberg lettuce with large tomatoes to compensate for the lack of flavor or presentation. The chicken swam in liquid. The rice was either overcooked or recooked????, I wasn’t sure. Not worth what I paid????

Met up with a friend here for a quick drink to catch up. Atmosphere is great ! Our waitress was super sweet so the service is not bad. However, the hookah was abit mediocre and we ended up ordering wings and the plantains….the wings were extremely dry and over seasoned which made them too salty…the fries were also over seasoned..

We had our niece birthday here and it was horrible!!! We paid for the DJ to come early and he was only playing old request. The air conditioning went out, took me 2 hours to get my food and the staff was rude. We later found out they ran out of food and had to go get some. I do not recommend coming here to host a party. This place definitely bit off more than they can chew. I can write so much more but I rather not.

Went for a friend’s birthday celebration. I am only speaking for myself here (unless I say otherwise). There were 9 of us in the group. Before we went, the birthday girl inquired about reserving an area for the group. They quoted $250. We decided to go early instead and just have enough seats for the rest of the party meeting us. It ended up so dead in there, we asked if we could sit in the reserved spot and they said sure (because nobody was in there). First, it was way too hot in there. Like the AC was broke kind of heat. It was uncomfortable. 2 in the group got hookahs. Idk how they were. My man got fried chicken, white rice and a strawberry lemonade (DD). I got the creole salmon, white rice and an “Island margarita”- one of their signature drinks. I’m very sensitive and could easily tell they gave me a glass of what tasted like guava juice with a lot of ice. They brought back something that just had a lot of liquor in it after that. I didn’t even drink it. The fried chicken was fried to death and my salmon tasted good but gave overload of rice and small piece of salmon. The DJ was loud for no reason- like club level noise but would have made more sense to make this more like a lounge than a club. Unless they get the guy from bar rehab to come redo the menu and ambience, I won’t be back. Spending that much money to eat out of plastic and styrofoam while hunched over a little coffee table and sweating, just isn’t for me. It would be great to have a cool little spot in the area, but this is not it.

All around bad business. They don’t honor their word, don’t book a party with them they are only out for the money. AC is broken and they are always out of food or running to the corner store to buy a $40 bottle they are going to charge you 100+ for. It doesn’t get anymore unprofessional than that.

This night club is a rip off. The Bartenders is not giving you back your Change and over price the drink I was charged $20 for a Long Island iced tea they are just some rip off I will never go back to that club.

Hard but fair! After my first experience with this Tambou Lounge which was 11months ago I was highly disappointed. But went in there tonight and was highly pleased that they paid attention to the customer reviews and addressed the customer complaints! I ordered same plate but got different results and as I can write a negative review when on an issue I can also write a positive review when things change! Plate was perfect and they definitely give you what you pay for now! Money well spent tonight no question! It was never about the quality of the food here but quantity and now they are spot on! Thank you Tambou Lounge I will be back soon! Keep up the great work and customer service. It is greatly appreciated! Check the photo below !

Very very very bad service all around got the wrong food wrong drinks takes 3hrs to get Anything ITS not good they over charged my card never COME HERE not real!!!!! need to be CLOSED my bank is investigating and I will not be charged for anything THEY HAVE one waitress doing EVERYTHING it’s super hot in there I would never recommend this place you all should be ashamed and embarrassed of yourselves for even opening a place like this they are very greedy for money DONT USE YOUR CARD THERE
