We were lucky enough to be a part of the soft opening crowd! We ordered two platters – catfish & fried chicken. Every single thing was delicious. Both the catfish and fried chicken were fried perfectly, with a light coating of batter and tender meat inside. I loved all of the sides – favorites are the collared greens & red beans and rice…& the mac n cheese…okay I guess I don’t have a favorite. If you’re a fan of southern cooking or want to try something new, why not give Patty Cake’s a try?

Exceptional customer service. Real southern hospitality. Food was cooked fresh, about 10 min wait or less. You can taste the freshness in it. Wasn’t greasy, yams wasn’t overloaded with sugar. The cake, OMG. I got a lemon cake and strawberry crunch cake. Don’t come here if you’re on a diet because I’m telling you, you will want more. I just happened to stumble upon this spot driving by, glad I decided to stop.

How lucky are we to have Patty serving up her delicious food in Lakewood! This is the kind of food worth driving miles for. Best fried chicken in town, that’s for sure. We tried the Mac and cheese, candied yams & collard greens and I wish I had seconds of all 3! I can’t wait to go back and try the rest of her menu. Just a great experience all around. Thank you!

The absolute sweetest staff and the most delicious peach cobbler in Lakewood. Best food even, hands down, you can taste the love ❤️ And the catfish??? So fresh and crispy and seasoned well and the cut of the fish is even perfect! Can’t recommend more.

My new favorite spot. These folks are the real deal. We loved the smothered chicken, catfish and fried chicken. The Mac and cheese was legit as were the cornbread and yams. About to try this strawberry crumb cake too.

Super nice staff. All sorts of great desserts ( I got the peach cobbler AND the German chocolate cake). Ordered the baked chicken smothered in gravy with a side of Mac n cheese. Do yourself a favor and get this food! Sooo good!

Delicious southern food. Never disappoints. Their desserts are good. A good variety of flavors, it changes regularly. Good down home cooking like mom makes.

Customer service is excellent Mac n cheese was great the red beans were a lil dry and thick with the rice. The fried fish was ok my wife thought is was good to me I needed more seasoning but I like salt maybe to much the rice and gravy was great but I didn’t like having skin from the chicken in it other than that I killed it all the hot water cornbread was a miss for me probably because it was cold and I like it more crispy the peach cobbler was ok I didn’t like the pie crust tasted like out of a can crust and to me the crust makes the cobbler but would I go back yes it was an great experience clear the voicemail also so we can order other than that would recommend this place for the food and to experience great service!

Walked in and a blast of heat that hit us was ridiculous no fan at the door nothin no air conditioning had to have been 118° Ordered one chicken dinner with a side of catfish and 2 PIECES of cake. Took the bag and it felt pretty light got home and opened the foam box to see a skinny wing and drum both had feathers sticken out of them opened the tiny container of collards took one bite zero flavor zero not even salted and the tiny container of Mac and cheese macaroni mush no sauce just color of cheese maybe 2 tablespoons and the very empty feeling foam box was a charred burnt flat corn cake burnt black plucked the feathers off the tiny wing and the skinny drumstick and tore skin away chicken was bloody both pieces threw everything away took a bite of banana cake tastes like box mix bite of carrot cake tastes like box mix the frosting was not homemade and the slices were so thin slivers I thought for paying $46 for this I should have at least been able to be fed or even one mouthful of edible food . I didn’t have any more money to treat myself so I ended up eating a pbj and cried. Never felt so ripped off and insulted by what I was served . Oh catfish was thin and mostly breading no catfish 2 teeny skimpy razor thin 3 inch slivers seen just thin thin thin breading . Did not call to ask what’s up just won’t ever go back seriously though. Rip off. I ordered the food and came back and they said they gave my food away and I had already paid for it and had to wait in the oven hot store while they made what I described . Lesson learned never again.
