I went for lunch with my husband around 11:30. Upon entering you truly do get delighted by the decor and esthetics. We waited about 5 minutes before we were seated. There was no hostess on the hostess stand but a waitress attending other patrons did acknowledge us and stated she will be right with us. Our waitress was very personable and attentive. We ordered the fried grouper bites for appetizers. The batter was very light. It didn’t provide the crunch I was craving but it definitely did not take away from the freshness of the grouper. I do wish the grouper bites had more flavor and for the price of $18 was expecting a bit more of wow factor. I tasted salt of course but was expecting more a hint of something else. Husband and I just added a dash of hot sauce and black pepper to give us something more in each bite. Husband ordered the Lobster special on Thursday’s which comes out to about $20 for a lobster and a side. His side was the truffle fries. He definitely liked the lobster but was a bit frustrated that he had to fight the shell. Most places usually cut the tail and crack the claws a bit to make it easier for people to consume. I ordered the fried red snapper which came with a side of rice and sweet plantains. I was also craving their pimento cheese grits so I ordered that as well. The fried red snapper was delicious and very crispy but still moist and tender on the inside. Definitely was my favorite part of the meal. The rice had the poke bowl rice flavor (poke sauce and spicy mayo) to it which caught me off guard but then again they do have sushi and poke bowl on their menu so I’m sure they use the same rice. The sweet plantains were well cooked and tasted just fine. However, my biggest disappointment was the grits. I don’t know if it was the pimento cheese that gave it such a pudding/mousse like textured but I did not feel like I was eating grits at all. The flavor was good but I think the pimento cheese definitely overpowered the whole dish. Service was great! Food was good. And overall quite a nice food experience. I would probably go back with friends to try the lobster roll and lobster bisque but I don’t think we’ll re-order the same dishes we had.

This place is fantastic. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because the full bar couldn’t get a basic Old Fashioned made even close to correct.

From the moment we walked in the door, we enjoyed this place. Had a party of 9, and they did everything to accommodate us. We had a table within 10 minutes, even though they were fairly busy. The whole staff were amazing people, very friendly and attentive. You’ll love this staff.

We had a long day of work and decided to try out this new seafood place. We loved the steakhouse here before, so the expectations were high for such a prime location. We know opening a new restaurant is tough, so we were prepared for a few bumps here and there. I’m happy to say that we were impressed with the service and the cuisine! Our server, Georgia was fantastic, it was great how well she knows the menu items with this place being open such a short amount of time. We loaded up on a lot of apps, they were all great. We were busy eating and forgot to take photos until the end, that’s a good thing right? I managed to take a photo of the desert at the end. Can’t wait to go back!

Great new addition to St. Johns and Julington Creek area. Lobster roll was delicious and so was the mac and cheese. The others were great as well. Atmosphere is very nice. They need to work out the bathroom/back area by kitchen from storing things near it. It can get pretty busy around early dinner time until 7pm. Recommend reservations. Will visit again after a few more weeks to get their quirks worked out. But enjoyed the experience. Check out their Facebook page for weekly specials, including crab legs $12 a lb or whole Maine lobster special for $19 on Wednesday. They also have brunch on weekend with bottomless mimosas.

My husband and I had an excellent experience tonight at JC Fish Camp and Oyster Co! The entire staff was on point, we were greeted by the GM, Sheila and one of the owners. Our server in training, Journey, was also great. The food was spectacular. Hubs said best conch fritters ever, I said best smoked fish dip ever. Our main courses were great as well as the key lime pie dessert. We will be back for sure!

We went to the soft opening and everything was incredible – food, drinks, service, menu, decor, EVERYTHING. It’s so nice to have this out here in Fruit Cove! We ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp as an app and it came out quickly, was hot, fresh and amazing. The sauce was beyond good. My son had the kids chicken tenders which was a huge portion and the chicken was REAL chicken, not some frozen weird stuff an the fries… My husband and I then split the fried shrimp dinner with Mac and cheese and fries. When I say this was, hands down, the BEST Mac n cheese I have EVER had. We will absolutely be going here multiple times a week and can’t wait to try their brunch too! Run, don’t walk to eat here, you will not be disappointed.

I wanted to like this place more because the portions per price are amazing. You get two big pieces of mahi for the dinner, bit I just felt like everything g was kind of average. We had a couple of dirty dishes and cups that was a little off putting. Just expected a little more attention for the price point. The Mac n cheese was very cream and cheesy and so were the grits.

First time visiting Julington Creek Fish and Oyster Co. We have been to a few of their sister locations. Food is always good. We had an ahi tuna appetizer. The tuna was very fresh and almost melted in your mouth. Then we tried the spicy tuna roll and one of the other rolls which I can’t recall at the moment. They both were outstanding and very fresh. Our server, Amanda, was very good.

The server Georgia was great! My critique would be to not use ramekins for sauces or to use cold marinara for Calamari. The china was appealing only to be served sauces in plastic ramekins. The grilled fish, fried oysters, and fried calamari were great. The hush puppies were slightly disappointing, only due to the fact they were very dense and heavy rather than light and fluffy as other hush puppies I’ve had. I’ve had better hush puppies at Arthur Treacher’s!
