For more than 40 years T.J. Hooligan’s has been a staple in the Prior Lake/Savage community. Hooligan’s is one of a kind and best described as a cross between an Applebee’s and Cheers bar. It has a great Pub vibe with a family friendly separated dining room. The food menu is expansive and includes Mexican, Italian, American dishes.
Hooligans is also the Minnesota home of Music Bingo. Check out our Facebook page for more details.

I LOVE T.J.’s!! The music Bingo on Thursday nights (be sure to reserve at least a week in advance bc it books up) will have you singing and smiling for days after!! Service is great, food is good, happy hour deals and patio area nice too, you can’t go wrong with a stop here!

Hooligans is the neighborhood “Cheers” bar. There are lots of regulars here, and with good reason. The staff is super friendly, prices are reasonable, and the food and drinks are solid. It’s a warm, welcoming, comfortable atmosphere with bric-a-brac on the walls and ceiling. Pull tabs are sold behind the bar. Watch out for Elvis when you walk towards the bathrooms!

Honestly, the only good thing I can say about this place was that the food was outstanding. Everything else, however, was an absolute garbage pit. The hostess (Chloe) had a nasty attitude from the moment my family walked in all the way through to being seated. You’d think we ran over her dog or something. And she gave us dirty looks the entire time. It was really awkward. We told the waitress about it and she just made excuses for her “because it was busy earlier in the day”. News flash, that’s not the customer’s problem and they’re the front of the house.

Under previous owners, I absolutely loved this place. Under new owners, it’s basically glorified bar food. The clientele has changed, too. Younger crowd who loves to keep the drinks flowing. Happen to go in on their Bingo music night & got seated right near the speaker. It was unbelievably painfully loud. Asked to be moved & they put us just on the other side of the door. We wound up walking out. Was just not an enjoyable environment to enjoy a dinner. If you enjoy a loud place with glorified bar food at a higher price, lots of drinking & a younger crowd, TJ’s is for you

In town for a softball game. We stopped in between games for drinks and to cool off. The place was packed, but we found a spot at the bar. The bartender, Alex was great, he was obviously busy, but he made sure we were taken care of. We met some friendly locals who were great company. If we are ever back in town, we’ll be back!

Pleasantly surprised. I used to go there occasionally but when it sold to the new owner I stopped. Decided to give it a try and I actually enjoyed my meal and service. They were short handed and the new owners son and daughter were working to help out. Great job. I will definitely be going back. Tanner was our bartender and I have no complaints.

This has been our favorite casual fun restaurant for many years. We didn’t go out for a couple years during the pandemic and were so glad to get back and see that the menu hasn’t changed much and some of the same friendly people were working there. We enjoy the comfort foods like the mile high meatloaf with mashed potatoes. Other favorites include the Cobb salad, the Friday fish fry, the excellent fajitas, and the flatbread. There is a dining area in the bar, one area in a separate room, and a patio for outside dining. Oh, and I can’t forget the popcorn wagon which the kids love.

My son has celiacs disease and we are very limited in where we can dine out. They have gluten-free buns and bread for many of their sandwiches, but more importantly, they have an amazing gluten-free pizza crust. We literally ate it the first time and thought there was a mistake in the kitchen and they assured us it was their gluten-free version. It’s one of our local ‘go to’ joints now when we want a nice meal.

The owner talked us into playing music bingo while we were eating dinner. We ended up staying after we ate and played music bingo. And I won free dinner voucher on the first game. Great time and Great food. Thanks to the owner for engaging customers. Great Thursday night.
