What a cool place to eat some Southern food. Got the fried chicken w/ mac and cheese, potato salad and a warm buttermilk cornbread muffin. Fam got the catfish w/ sweet potatoes, collard greens and black eyed peas. Great service as well as great food. The chicken was done perfectly…nice and juicy, not dry! Huge servings. Highly recommend!!! ♥️

All I will say is the food is really good, really soul flavored food however the service needs a lot of work. We went on a Sunday evening and they were out of almost everything, no greens, only thighs and legs for chicken, no green beans. The server was a sweetheart but seemed so over whelmed while the front staff was in front chilling and conversing. I’d try this spot again but on a weekday and maybe the experience will be better. I worked in hospitality for 6 years, management inbox me if you need tips on training staff!

Everything was delicious, well worth the wait!! I had the Catfish, the two fillets where perfectly cooked and well seasoned. My fiance had the fried chicken, he was pleased with the portions sizes, but said it could use a little more seasoning. Our favorites were the sides, Mac and cheese, collard greens, yams, potato salad. Portion sizes was perfect, on everything. Definitely, highly recommend!!

So we visited today during lunch (11:00 am) for my mom’s birthday. The service and atmosphere was great and the establishment was clean. I ordered the 3pc dark fried chicken, mac n cheese, greens, and hoppin johns. My mom and sis ordered the whiting. Overall, my food was OK. My chicken, greens, and mac n cheese had way too much salt. To the point where I couldn’t eat it and ended up just taking it home. My mom and sis said their fish was good but their sides were too salty as well. The hoppin johns came out dry with no juice from the beans on top of the rice. I had to ask for some juice from the beans to put on top of the rice. Considering the price I would suggest checking and modifying the seasoning level of the food. It was a waste of money for food I couldn’t eat. It’s a bummer because I probably will not try this place again.

Prepare to pay for parking since the location has limited parking. Please make a reservation online or book a table to avoid waiting long. The food is pretty decent. I had Catfish, MAC n cheese, and sweet potatoes. The service was terrible. A young man who knew nothing on the menu regarding taste, so as a first timer. You have to wing it. Also, they’re petty steep for what you get and they don’t do to go orders. For the price and service, I won’t return as there are better options for Soul Food in Cincy.

First visit 5/7/23 while visiting Cincinnati, at someone’s recommendation . Interaction with hostess was awkward & unsettling. Re-training in customer service & procedures would benefit her. Service was nice & attentive. Also told us they don’t to-go orders but saw a couple do Door Dash pick ups ♀️. Limited menu, no brunch on Sundays but food was overall really good… 7.5/10. I sampled the meatloaf,, fried chicken wings,, salmon croquettes. The greens lacked flavor and tasted… watery. The yams were sweet and mac & cheese was packed with cheeses & flavor.

Stopped by and got greeted & seated quickly. Our server was super attentive in getting our waters & orders in fast. The food arrived within 15min & it was piping hot. It looked & tasted good. Didn’t get to the try any drinks as there was no bartender at the time. Looking forward to dining again & hopefully getting a drinky drink.

First, MONTRE was so sweet and told me about the favorites of the customers and popular drink choices. I got the sweet potatoes from her recommendation and they tasted so sweet like the pie. I highly recommend trying it with the macaroni and green beans. The fried catfish was the best I’ve tasted in a long time it was crispy, fresh, and seasoned as well as the chicken. The drinks were strong I got the henny recommend drink and the Jack daniels drinks. Both were delicious. I wish I could give 10 stars. I’ll be back real soon. Just pay the $6 to park in the lot. I saw someone else list that as a con, but it’s so much parking in that lot and it’s literally next door.

A few coworkers and I walked here during a company event nearby. The atmosphere is decorated lovely and clean. The staff was attentive . We all ordered the quarter chicken with various sides. The chicken was flavorful but a bit on the dry side. The greens were delish and seasoned well. The large portion of fries were fried to perfection. A coworker had the macaroni and cheese and moaned at first bite.
