This restaurant is no longer “El Lago,” it is now “El Paraiso.”Good food, quick and friendly service. Different layout that gives the restaurant a cool look. Bar area is separated from main restaurant. Views of the lake near by are a great addition. Indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of parking and there is a trail that loops around the lake to walk off your meal. Great walk during sun set. Staff was very friendly and patient. Large room for private parties.

The food was really good, I would recommend the volcano fajitas. When they bring them to you they pour a shot of tequila on the meat and vegetables the night it on fire! The waters were friendly plus the restaurant has a pretty nice view of lake tye.

Terrible experience. They told me they couldn’t seat me outside (beautiful day and it was the main reason I came) and they told me I could only sit in the bar when there was clearly many seats elsewhere and outside. The bartender took 15-20 min to bring me chips and salsa. I asked for bean dip and he completely disregarded me asking. Then brings the bean dip 20 more minutes later with a sad “sorry man”. Then I get my food 20 minutes after that and had to ask for silverware and got another “sorry man”. I go hear often and the only reason for a 2 star and not 1 is the food was great as always. They need to flush out some of the staff. They show no effort in making a nice experience. If the staff was was more cheerful, smiled and didn’t seem to have a bad attitude about doing their job, this place would be 10 times better and get 10 times more service. I bring family here often and spend a lot of money here. If this is the kind of service they are going to continue to give I will stop coming here and will not recommend coming here to anyone. Hopefully management sees this and can make the appropriate adjustments with how they run their establishment.

This was my first time here. I really enjoyed it. The service was great, hostess was very friendly and efficient. The menu isn’t your standard Mexican restaurant menu, has many, many options not found elsewhere. The best part was the food! I love to eat fish and it’s not easy to find it cooked correctly, but also served correctly (no heavy sides). I was very happy with my meal and overall experience.

I ordered the Hawaiian shrimp fajitas and they were absolutely amazing! Fresh made chips and some of the best guacamole have had in a long time! I definitely recommend this restaurant. The staff was friendly and you get your food quickly.

For “Happy” Hours (this time, ours was not, entirely) be sure you’re there way before the claimed end-time. We live very near there. After several extremely satisfying visits we dropped by for a quick drink on the way to friends’ place. I called to see what time happy hour closed. 6pm. We arrived well before 6:00 and ordered drinks and began selecting a snack. But we waited a bit longer than usual for waitress to return for food order. She returned at 6:01 (according to Verizon’s clock). She left, checked with manager, then said ‘we’ were too late to order by one minute. As usual, all else was great. I realize half the tables were busy. But, still, it seems a pretty firm policy driven corporation. Plan accordingly.

Food was average and so was the service. The mariachi band was cool at first but they would spend 5 to 10 minutes at each table, this meant they would be at the table just before yours, your table and the table after yours and it’s a small space. We couldn’t hear anything at our table for about 30 minutes at a time and they came around twice. They are great but you can’t expect to have any conversations with the people at your table while dinning here. Plus the wait staff couldn’t get to your table with drinks, they did seem to push through with food though.
