Very good NJ style pizza – owner is from there. The thin crispy crust is excellent and the sauce great. Cheese also very good. My only complaint is that they need to get decent plastic forks and knives that don’t melt in the heat (immediately) of the food. Great place!

Best pizza I have had in Charlotte. I recommend the Grandma Pizza. Thin sliced squares, perfectly layered mozz, delicious tomato sauce, and basil to top it off. Undercarriage nice and firm. Corners are crispy but the middle squares are very good too. So good I’m probably going to eat it tomorrow..

Growing up in Boston I really miss the Italian food from the North End. Sal’s is the most authentic Italian food I have had. I love their eggplant parm, my husband loves the chicken parm. Their pizzas are amazing too. Such friendly staff including Giovanni and Toby.

During the ordering of a large pizza, half one kind and half another, I was told no extra charge for ordering two different halves. Then upon repeating the order which was paid, employee got half the meat incorrect and had to redo. 20 minutes later I was shown my pizza and half was the wrong vegetarian.

This is a solid NY style pizza. Ingredients (sausage, pepperoni, shrooms, etc) are all fresh. One note, the 12” pizza is really about 17” … really don’t need two pizza’s for two people unless you want a lot of leftovers!

I eat at sals Monroe rd maybe 3 times a month. Best pizza is Charlotte hands down! Ordered 8 pies for a birthday party this weekend and the staff walked it out to my car. Great food and good people. Having two locations is a great thing for Charlotte!
