There were pros and cons but I am giving this place five stars. Pros were that the Bloody Mary was delicious and the Southwest wrap was delicious. Another pro is the atmosphere. Eating in a nice air conditioned caboose was fun. A con was that in the caboose there are no napkins and no salt and pepper shakers. The waiter never did come back and check on me after they brought my food. Luckily, I had a napkin in my purse. I had received my Bloody Mary first and it did not have bacon like the menu specified. So, when they brought my food, I did ask for a piece of bacon and they brought it after questioning me, but I had taken a picture of the menu and showed them where it said garnished with bacon. 🙂

Loved it. Atmosphere was great; beautifully restored caboose cars. AIR CONDITIONED (maybe put up a big sign near the station about the AC…). Great food (breakfast burritos with bacon). Good lattes (perhaps a little hotter?). Friendly.

Great place to grab a bite to eat and a drink if you are going to ride the Royal Gorge train. You order inside and sit in an outside dining area. We ordered drinks, alcoholiic and nonalcoholic, crepes, and ice cream. The drinks and food items were amazing. Only complaint was there was only one employee that was making drinks and desserts. He was amazing but overwhelmed with how many order he had to make. Consequently, the wait was quite long. Also, please fix the air conditioning in the caboose so your employees and work more comfortably.

My girlfriend and I visited Canon City this past week a decided to give this place a try for a early brunch. The girls working inside were great with our questions (we had a bunch). So, I ended up with the Southwest Wrap which was hands down one of the best things I had on our trip.

Very cute place and while the service was nice, the owner should have more people helping out because it was ridiculously slow. The breakfast burritos were just ok as they could have been warmer and for $3 extra for a smothered burrito you’d expect more than a couple tablespoons of green chile on it.

This is a comfortable place to dine outdoors, weather permitting. Our simple meals were very delicious. They prepared the food mpstly outside. The staff was helpful and pleasant. Thanks Happy Endings Caboose.

Such an awesome place with wonderful staff. The food was soooo good best I’ve had in CO, and I highly recommend the smoothies! The tables inside the train car are really cool and so is the outdoor seating where you can watch and hear the train, The food wrapper was an old local article from 67, so cool! And I personally love the black napkins and compostable cups ☺️ so many things cool about this place, no regrets whatsoever.

Great spot!! Cool and shaded outside. The Santa Fe breakfast was amazing! And served on parchment paper that says royal gorge post is a cute touch. Although the paper rips when you cut on it.
