My Aunt who hadn’t been here in a long time ordered close to $60 worth of food that I picked up yesterday. I thought we were ordering from a different Chinese restaurant once I arrived; and was totally dissapointed.

Sad to say my experience was sickening. The shrimp fried rice made my stomach hurt,my husband ate it and had the same results. Use to have fresh food but very disappointing, thought I would end up in urgent care due to I felt was food borne illness.

The lo mein with shrimp was delicious! It didn’t have too much sauce. It was perfect. I would return and order that again! The fried rice was just okay. It wasn’t our personal favorite. The customer service was pretty good. There are lots of tables and chairs outside which was wonderful!

My baby desired Chinese food for the entire week. So we visited a few places without ordering due to the undesirable look inside of the restaurants. I decided to try Grosse Pointe Woods, thinking they must be a clean establishment with high-quality foods. The lady that took my order was very pleasant and helpful. However, this place does not deserve more than a star. The vegetable fried rice was dry. The Chow Mein needed seasoning, and the mung beans looked gray. The white rice was hard, as though not fully cooked or left out with no lid to keep moisture in the pot. Now for the worst part, as if it could get worse. The Chicken Egg Foo Young was very dark with crunchy burnt edges and a chemical taste, and it was very tight and looked like hog head cheese inside. I did not see anything resembling chicken. Not even sure it was it is made with eggs, either. I must say the gravy was decent. Several people in here recommend Moy’s(?) I will go there or to Panda next time. BTW, you’d think a restaurant would give customers eating utensils and napkins, right? Not this place!!!!

Got the mild cashew shrimp but it lacked any spice, had too many pieces of celery and not enough shrimp. The overall flavor was good as was the hot and sour soup. I will return and customize my order better!

Gross. Chow Mein did not have noodles- just grey bean sprouts and chicken. Egg roll was cold. Wasted my time and money for dinner, and will never be back. 1 star for the rice.

I usually don’t leave a review until I have tried a place multiple times so I can be the most informed.
