Worst bowl of Mac and cheese I have. The cheese should be rich, toasted, creamy, and full of texture, but here it’s watery, bland, and feels like coming out from a microwave in a huge bowl. Plus they charge 20 for that. The salad is hard and flavorless. Better make my own at home

I really enjoy the food and atmosphere at this bar restaurant located at 43rd and Baltimore Avenue in West Philly-University City. It sits on the corner across from Clark park. Interesting food choices from pizza which is teally good to sandwiches or cheese boards. Good wine selections and good beer too. So you can sit outside inside downstairs or upstairs for a little more privacy. All good choices!!

A wonderfuld dining experience! Our server, Ethan, was by far the most hospitable I have encountered in a long while. We stopped here for lunch on the recommendation of a friend during our visit to CHOP. The food was so fresh, and completely different than your typical pizza joint. There is indoor and outdoor seating, weather permitting.

I’d give this a 5/5 for the pizza but the other dishes were disappointing (2/5 max) but -1 star only seeing as pizza is their main thing. I got the Johnny Hots pizza and that was excellent. Great flavors and the crust was perfect to my liking – chewy and fluffy! The peppers were actually spicy (yay) and the pork was good too. I also got the hot chicken salad and that was pretty bad. Way too much dressing, very very greasy chicken, and absolutely NO spiciness. I’d go back for the pizza, for sure, but don’t get the hot chicken!

I ordered the vegan white pie for takeout and specified I wanted the tofu ricotta & the vegan mozzarella. I got home and noticed there was no vegan mozzarella on the pizza. I called and was told “Oh sorry we’re out of vegan mozzarella.” Imagine a white pizza… with no cheese! There were a few dollops of the tofu ricotta which was extremely bland. On top of that, the pizza crust was as thin as a paper towel. The few toppings on the pizza heavily weighed it down when I picked up a slice. SMH.

Our experience at Clarkville was very confusing. We were quickly seated, but then neglected for the longest time before being approached again. Their menu offer some real eclectic varieties of pizzas; vegan options. We chose the Honey Pie and the Deluxe 5 Cheeses. Sadly, the HP came out massively burnt. We should of sent it back, but we were so hungry we ignored the charred crust. In spite of it, the flavor was so unique it won us over. After waiting a long wjile again, we inquired and learned they forgot our second pie. Fortunately, they hastily produced a perfectly baked pizza that helped us forget everything that went beforehand.

I attended this establishment yesterday as a part of a team retreat and the food was delicious. Our team thoroughly enjoyed their hummus and French bread as an appetizer. And I thoroughly enjoyed their Caesar salad and Sriracha honey pie. I love the concept of Honey on pizza and originally I was taken aback by the idea of large brussels sprouts being on a pizza. However, the brussel sprouts are finely grained into the cheese where there is a hint taste of brussel sprout. Nonetheless, everything came together with the the Sriracha honey, pickled onions, cheese, and brussel sprouts. The hummus was to die for! I would go back to have a large quantity of hummus for myself! The bread texture was also nice too, not too thick or thin. Our waitress Caroline was nice enough to take our team picture and give us extra French bread and salad dressing without charge. It was a nice outing and Clarkville just sealed the deal!

Over priced, mediocre, and the staff is racist. My other review was removed but it’s important that poc don’t spend their money here. Every bad review is from a person of color and that is not a coincidence. Me and my boyfriend sat in the restaurant for roughly 25-30 minutes without anyone coming to check on us.

Two outstanding pizzas – super thin, flaky crust with delicious toppings and a house salad that was kind of addictive. Good, friendly service and outdoor seating on a nice day. Excellent choice and highly recommended, at least for pizza and salad.
