My GOD the food here is so good. Gotten it a few times and it amazes me every time just how fantastic their damn food is. And the portions are MASSIVE. Each meal is enough to feed a family. Normally have to spit it between 2 days. Cannot recommend this place enough. Easily the best restaurant close to base tied with Yumy platter. Can’t give it a 5/5 on the atmosphere but i dont really think it’s their fault that it doesn’t look like a 5 star restaurant in there. And who cares when the food is that good. I’d rather have a mom and pop looking place with fantastic food than a 5 star looking restaurant with mid food that’s super expensive. And all that on top of them being very, very friendly of dietary restrictions. Went in there and asked for a no dairy, vegetarian dish and they served me big time. Cant say that about many other places.

I was stationed in San Diego and THE best Mexican food resides in southern California! I haven’t had a good enchilada sine I left. Every Mexican restaurant always seems to cater to caucasian palates (no spice) and the food is just ok. The enchiladas I had here were the best I’ve had in 16yrs!!! The 1st bite brought me back to that little shack in Imperial Beach. Beans and rice were on point also. I loved the chicken tinga so much I ordered 3 tacos to go while I was still eating dinner. If i could give more than 5 stars I would. 10/10

Absolute hidden gem. We tried a bit of everything from tacos to empanadas to the street corn. The salsa verde could not get into my mouth fast enough. Phenomenal food. The counter/server guy was respectful and courteous.

This hole in the wall joint serves some of the best tacos. Tacos have very tender meat and come with cilantro and onions. I regretted only ordering one taco because they are to die for. Food is authentic Mexican cuisine. Will definitely return again!!!

Tacos were delicious but rice was over cooked and Maduros were oily. My order was also wrong. Chicken quesadilla had over cooked chicken and horchata was powdery. Overall, would not go back unless I only wanted tacos.
