I usually won’t write a bad review based on food alone, because food is pretty subjective…but the food and sauces were pretty bad, and that combined with the fact that we only tried this place based on the high ratings makes me feel compelled to add my own. The crab rangoon were better size than I expected based on the cheap price but they tasted terrible. The beef and other dishes were severely lacking in flavor. Teriyaki beef had no teriyaki taste at all. The scallion pancakes and house special rice were the only semi enjoyable items we got-but the pancakes came with some horrible sauce that I cannot even describe-definitely not the standard soy scallion ginger deliciousness that they usually come with! I’d be scared to try anything else from here unfortunately.

First time ordering here, never again! I was told 25 min, I arrived 30 min later and waited almost 10 more min for the food. Mind you the place was dead on a Friday night so that says something there. SO I thought if the food is good no big deal it will be worth the wait. Well that was not the case at all! The crab Rangoon has only cream cheese in it and nothing else. The General Gau’s Chicken was battered and had no flavor. The rice was bland and also had no flavor. The egg roll was over cooked and the duck sauce was bland too! The only thing that was ok was the chicken wings and the prices are really cheap which is the only reason I gave two stars. Personally I got what I paid for and honestly looking around while I waited the place is so dirty and poorly kept it should be just shut down.

When looking for a place to eat we all go based off of ratings, that being said this place has a 4.2 star rating. I was looking forward to trying this new spot( to me at least), After waiting for 45 minutes for my food when she said 25 minute wait, I was getting very annoyed. After receiving the food I was hoping the food itself would make up for the wait. Unfortunately that was not the case with this restaurant. When I got home I was ready to dig in, I had ordered crab rangoons, beef teriyaki, chicken lo mein and spareribs. My personal favorite thing from a Chinese restaurant is crab rangoons, but I found these very bland and underwhelming, the chicken lo mein was decent. But the spareribs were very hard to chew, over cooked should I say. The beef teriyaki was not worth the price for a large. I was very disappointed with my food to the point where I didn’t even finish it, not worth the 24 dollars I spent, It was worth trying but I won’t be returning.

This is my favorite Chinese place in Milford. I think the food is always delicious and the price is wonderful. Their Crab Rangoon are my personal favorite and I have never had a bad meal.

DISGUSTINGGGGG the rice tastes like chemicals the most disgusting taste!!! The teriyaki and spare ribs were dry and old! Horrible! I tried to call to let them know and I was super nice calling to tell them the rice tastes like chemicals and it may be dangerous to others and they hung up on me. Also the crab rangoons are literally straight cream cheese not a bit of seasoning no exaggeration.

Great food at ridiculously low prices! I got a variety of traditional things and everything was fresher than any takeout I’ve ever eaten! The woman behindthe counter was promt, polite and went above and beyond. I never tip before I eat and I did tonight. My only regrets are that I tried it sooner! I wish I tipped better and ordered more!

Been coming to Golden House for years it is a wonderful family run restaurant, I am very picky and have a lot of food allergies on top of being a vegetarian basically I’m a pain in the ass but they never make me feel like that. Every time I go there with my children they get my order right the food is wonderful and inexpensive, the women and her son who work the front are very polite and kind also wonderful with my special needs child who can be loud and difficult at times. This is the only restaurant I am able to take them out to dine in at because of how difficult my baby can be, they are very tolerant and understanding. My baby loves everyone who works there and they seem to enjoy her as well, it’s just nice to be able to go out to eat and not feel awful and unwantred it really is a hidden gem.

Some of the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had! As a previous reviewer stated, it’s breaded chicken with some gross sauce poured over it. Crab rangoons are just cream cheese. The rice and “general gaus” chicken had a chemical smell and taste to it. I would not recommend this place.

This was honestly the most disgusting Chinese food I have ever eaten. Everything from the crab rangoons, to the lo mein, to spring rolls and chicken, were disgusting. It doesn’t even look like food. I threw out my entire pickup order. It was unbearable, and I usually can eat pretty much anything.
