First time trying this place, not impressed. Sandwich looked good, but the textures were all wrong, horrible in fact. The bread was very hard, like day old, or 2 day old bread, it was like biting into peanut brittle, ouch! is right, it hurt my gums. Sandwich was ice cold, like it was premade and left in the fridge overnight. The taste was normal, what is to be expected with ordering a combo, I got like 1 slice of a jalapeño which robbed my experience and expectations for a great Vietnamese sandwich. Nothing I will remember here except for uncomfortable experience. I’ll stick to what I know is great!

This small business doesn’t care about business. They have only one person working at 12pm on a Sunday. I waited 45 minutes for three sandwiches and I ended up walking out. The one employee doesn’t speak English and no one understands what order they’re yelling out. The kiosks are all out of paper, so we have no receipt with our order number. Phone is ringing unanswered. It’s 80 degrees outside but it’s even hotter inside this place. Chaos. Not coming back. I am disputing the charge on my credit card.

Waited 30min and was told they were out of the ingredient. I decided to not get my lunch and required a refund. They refused, it was 3 sandwiches over $47 total.

At $4 a sandwich, it’s a very competitive lunch option. The staff are generally friendly, and even though I’ve had some times where they’ve messed up my order/ it took 40 minutes to get my sandwich, I think they’re doing a lot better now.

Slow, waited > 45 mins and the sole employee lost many people’s orders, so they had to retake mine. Maybe 10-15 people just waiting and the receipt printer was not working so no one knew what their order was. The business owner *needs* to hire more staff as the only employee could not communicate to work out the issues and appeared extremely overloaded which made me feel really bad for them. The worst part is that looking at other reviews, the manager is aware of these issues and claims to have fixed them, but this appears performative and does not appear to be true. Could not give 1 star because the food was actually pretty good, it’s just a shame that the rest of the experience will mean I won’t return nor recommend to anyone

Came on a Weds for lunch. Was fairly busy with to go orders. Friendly staff and quick service with outdoor eating available. Pork sandwich (#6) was delicious with a variety of condiments and delicious bread. Also ordered a peach iced tea that quinched my thirst.

Waited 40 minutes for my food. Other people were complaining when I was here too that they had been waiting 45 mins to an hour. There was one lady working and she didn’t speak English and didn’t seem to be putting out the sandwiches in any order. She didn’t really acknowledge anyone who asked about their orders. There were 2 customers here who had ordered and paid and I overhead them being told that they were out of stock after they paid and not offered a refund. One guy ordered something and was given a completely different item without being asked first about it. Haven’t even tried the food yet but I will not be back because of the terrible service.

Love that they have bò kho to-go, open early, and also on Memorial Day when we needed food to work all day at an event. The lady was super nice and the food was delicious. Definitely come back.

Such a delight coming here! There were two workers when I came in, and they were so sweet helping me with my order. I believe the bread is freshly made there! Tasted great and full of flavor. My favorite is the banh mi Cha (Vietnamese ham)! The pickles are soooo good. Easily one of my favorite banh mi shops. Love that it’s across the street from SJSU, making it accessible to students.
