I unexpectedly drove past this place, and after having a hard time finding good authentic tasting Jamaican food I am happy to have found this place. I got the stew chicken small plate (regretted not getting the large) and it was good. Festival and plantain were cooked well and I definitely want to try more of their items. The pineapple-ginger juice is very tasty (but VERY strong ginger taste if you’re not into it). I gave them four stars because post mates and food delivery orders are prioritized so in-person orders take time (30-40 minutes). Thankfully it was worth the wait. The menu advertises another store opening much closer in Long Beach and I am definitely looking forward to that location. Good eats!

I would hate to leave a review before even trying the food but this is solely based on customer service. I called ahead of time to place an order for oxtail. I was told it was an hour wait and the gentleman took my name and number and said I was on a waiting list & that I should expect a call back. An hour came so about 15 mins after that I called to check status. The lady who answered told me that it would be another hour and that I was still on the list. I originally called at 2pm and it is now 6pm. No call back or anything. I may not attempt to try this restaurant again.

This USED to be the spot, however… So I called in my order, and they gave it to someone else and were then OUT of what I ordered. Then they didn’t have plaintain nor rice& peas, but got the audacity to charge the full amount without having the complete meal/ order and without informing me. + my oxtails were tough. Oh and their portion sizes changed. Idk what’s going on, but I’ma need them to get it together.

Absolutely horrible service 0/10 do not recommend. I know it’s a running joke that Caribbean restaurants have bad service but this is ridiculous. They always running late. Tryna put the store together while ur waiting to order. Food takes forever. They messed my order up TWICE in one week. When I door dashed it my door dasher had to call and apologize for how long they’re taking with my food. Then a few days later. I go in at 1210. Stores not ready. As she’s putting the store together she organizes and put all the Pattie’s away while I wait for the 4 I ordered. Slog course she gave me the WRONG Patties then when I call for a refund she’s telling me to come back and drive back ACROSS town and to bring the Pattie’s for a refund. No regard for the customer at all. Then when they close in a few years they gonna say nobody supports black business smh

Authentic! Wow! First time trying this spot! Oxtails were so good. Best rice and peas I had in a while! Plantains were cooked the right way..not even soggy from delivery. Great price and serving size. I will have to dine in soon to try other things!

Just sharing info on the service. Hiram ( please forgive me if I spelled the name incorrectly) there was a mixed up with my order. Great food customer service is okay 4/5 and u can call and order in your food before you arrive the have Android pay or apple using square pay and the atmosphere is cool and relaxed not really spacious but still comfortable. Have a tv In there with a speaker. Very busy so definitely call ahead

Oxtails good but I paid fora large and they only gave me 5 oxtails.I paid $22 plus tax and he went the extra mile to joke and say don’t let nobody know I’m showing you this much love as if I wasn’t just cheated. I see reviews with 10 oxtails!!! The male server came from behind the counter to hug women lol I obviously am not a regular or family so I got treated like a come up instead of a customer. Guess what tho? As far as flavors? EASILY ON OF LA’s BEST hence why I even come in the 1st place smh just check your plate and keep in mind what you ordered, don’t let the extra sauce fool you!!! Lucky I don’t say no names smh ♀️
